These are the three guys I'm currently hoping for in the first three rounds.
We could trade down in the first for Obi then trade up in the second for Zay. In the third round RB Brian Hill out of Wyoming would round out a great early round draft class.
Obi is an enforcer with great range. A lot of comparisons to Kam Chancellor and I agree. I see a lot of Tanard Jackson when he was still a very promising young safety. Out of Peppers, Adams, Hooker, etc I think Obi is the best safety in this class, and will be a top 3 safety in the NFL. I would even probably take him at 19, depending on who else was available.
Zay Jones is legit. The all time FBS receiving record holder was impressive at the senior bowl, from what I've heard he validated the production and proved he is an NFL level talent. He is an ultimate competitor, flashes a little bit of OBJ at times. He has the ability to change our offense across from Evans which is exactly what we need.
Brian Hill is coming off a monster season for Wyoming. 22 tds and 1800+ rushing yards. He's a bigger RB that runs with power, and is seen by many analysts as a first and second down back, which is what we need as Charles Sims is great in the third down RB role. Hill is a very high character RB, much like Obi and Zay and his idol is Ladanian Tomlinson which is a good thing in my opinion. I would also consider Kareem Hunt here, I just have Hill graded a lot higher.
What do you guys think about these prospects? Could they be the finishing touch en route to a 2018 championship?
