Bucs should eliminate that swagger on the first drive.
But will they
Bowles sometimes plays soft against a mobile rookie QB
Hainsey won't be the worst option at center, and if Goedeke is back instead of Schooled that's a wash for the O-line.
Not for the iOL, it's not.
Saints tend to outphysical us i,f we don't come ready to hit we're probably gonna lose. Last year Saints talked about specifically saving padded practices for us in our second matchup last year and dog walked us with their physicality.
The Saints lost their QB which of course is much worse, and they also have O-line injuries like I suppose most every team has their share of. I don't care how much swagger Rattler supposedly has. He was a 5th round pick for a reason. The Bucs should eliminate that swagger on the first drive.
The Rattler-led Saints scored 27 points - in first half.
Good call.
Even though the Bucs finally solved the Rattler in the 2nd half, he seems like he's a future starter. I gotta give credit to Rattler. He seemed to have good accuracy and good presence even though he didn't see some open receivers. But he looks like the real deal. Unfortunately for the Saints, they're chained to Carr and his hefty salary for 25 and 26. They can't trade him, because he's due 50 mil base salary in 2026. The Saints are a bad team getting worse about to go into salary cap hell. I wouldn't want to be a Saints fan.The Saints lost their QB which of course is much worse, and they also have O-line injuries like I suppose most every team has their share of. No they're not.
They can get out of it after this season.

It's right there in front of you.
OK that's not "getting out of it" in my book when you are taking $60 mil in dead cap hit, but they'll probably bite the bullet and do it. They have half a dozen other high paid players in their 30s with high dead cap values such as Cam Jordan who's 36 with a dead cap of $23 mil. None of it is a problem if the players are helping the team to win. But the Saints are in a worse position than the Bucs were in post-Brady and they didn't win anything. Here's what Spotrac says:Unfortunately for the Saints, they're chained to Carr and his hefty salary for 25 and 26.

You said they were "chained to Carr"...which was clearly you inferring they wouldn't get rid of him and that they couldn't.
Per usual, you were wrong.
But the Saints are in a worse position than the Bucs were in post-Brady and they didn't win anything.
Now this is spot on.
They've been kicking the can down the road and it is finally (albeit slowly) starting to catch up with them.
At some point, they need to nuke the whole thing. They aren't in any kind of competitive window.
Good thing is that Bucky most likely starts, and Coen doesn’t like calling run plays for him that hits that side of the line.
Obviously the running game is evolving, but this^ is still mostly on
The Bucs ran left more overall, especially when you throw in Sterling Shepherd plays, but for the RBs on called plays** Irving's called runs look to be 7 right, 7 left and Tucker is almost the same.
The 5+ yard runs though are 9 left to 4 right, so at least yesterday that had better "explosives" success left. The negative runs are also more right than left.
The easy link to the left might be Wirfs, but the Bucs like to run a counter right that has Wirfs pulling right so it is a bit of a mixed bag.
**Just off the drive chart, so imperfect.
Ima say it’s wirfs lol dude looks 350 and we have the big10 left side Iowa and Michigan road grading the way

”
- Cody Mauch had a third consecutive fantastic game. Perhaps no player on the line ascends as much as he does moving from mid zone to a gap blocking system. He is a phenomenal wrapper/puller. His pass pro was great as well, showing a stronger anchor, better footwork and outstanding hand usage. He is now two consecutive games w/o allowing a pressure.”
Interesting insight. Still not sure how much is a struggling Saints d-line, and how much is improved play by Cody Mauch?Josh Q

If he can look improved against the Ravens …we’ll know. Expect he won’t look as good in run protection, as Ravens are clearly pretty good at that. Now, if he can show improved pass blocking and some consistency in run blocking, then I’ll buy it.
