I have seen nothing in Schiano's record that stands out as an accomplishment.
I am not sure the guy is an NFL coach, but that comment goes too far. He built the program at Rutgers. Rutgers may not be a national powerhouse, but when you start at zero and get to competitive, bowl games etc., that is an accomplishment . . and a substantial one at that.
Payton losing is an upset of the Saints. Schiano leading the bucs to another loss is becoming part of Sunday.... and not seeing improvement has worn on me

Exactly. Five bowl wins isn't an accomplishment? I hear the retort that he didn't beat any top 25 teams. Understand that he took over a team out of the top 100 and made them a consistent top 25-35 with occasional top 20. He did this with a slew of lousy quarterbacks. So he was a very good college coach. But he's a lousy pro coach.

Dom's guys next season should ask: would you like fries with that, sir? He's far worse than our HC.

There's been improvement. Just hit or miss. Kind of like you would see from a young developing team that still has holes to fill

He "led" Rutgers to being another team that wins some games, as opposed to losing them all in a nothing conference. And going to a bowl is almost automatic for teams finishing with a winning record in spite of conference stature. Number of times and duration of being in the top 25, wins in major bowls or against teams in the top 25... such occurrences would be accomplishments. Telling folks he had "lousy quarterbacks" implies an inability to ID whom to select or being unable to coach the position. Neither is too encouraging.

Not enough, not nearly enough Olaf. This team was supposed to be competing in the tournament this year, that was the design and basis for FA investment. And it was nowhere near that level in spite of a tanker load of assurances by the current HC throughout off-season workouts, pre-season, camp, pre-season games, and was verified to be inaccurate when the season started, and remains inaccurate to this very day.
"At season's end, Schiano and the Scarlet Knights accepted a bid to play in the Insight Bowl against Arizona State University, their first bowl game appearance since the 1978 Garden State Bowl. (Coincidentally, that game was also against Arizona State, and a then-12-year-old Schiano was among the attendees.) During preparations for the Insight Bowl, Schiano signed a new contract, extending his contract through the 2012 season. In the 2006 season, Schiano's Scarlet Knights achieved their first Top 25 ranking since 1976.1978 Garden Bowl -lol1976

And you expected the HC to say the "franchise" quarterback I inherited is a nut case and we'll be lucky to be .500 this season?

The issues with the bucs go beyond the "franchise" quarterback. The attempt to obtain Carson Palmer, and the draft pick used on Glennon - and it became a "secret" that wasn't. So from the claims of being very happy about OTAs, pre-season and camp, to execution and anticipated regular season and the same issues remain.
On a side not. How does the punter for the Bengals sustain a broken jaw on a hit, but there is no personal foul on the hit (have to admit I am a little biased since that Antonio Brown punt return TD probably knocked me out of the fantasy football playoffs)?

LOL - don't know but I can see how that might get one with interest such as yours a bit miffed...
