No running back has followed up a 2000+ yard season with another season close to 2000 yards. I do get a kick out how emotional the Philly fan base is with this. Nothing emotional about it. Just cold hard facts. The Eagles will take a step back on their running game with Shipley and Dillon dispelling Barkley more than Gainwell did last year. Something to keep any eye on.

Always hard to repeat great performances so odds are against the same kind of year, especially in this case because some of his success was tied to a bye week change in the team approach that 2025 defenses will be more focused on stopping (maybe even watching Bucs film, ironically).
Barkley is awesome, so take nothing away from him.
Just hard to repeat because often times teammates more distracted, less motivated and have to get lucky with injuries etc.

Correct. So much so, that every single 2000 yard season is followed by at least 500 yards less. Which contrary to all my Rachaad hating brethren, is tough, like super tough to replace.
