Every GM HC takes that blame. How many guys with that track record keep their job ? Zero.

Fixed. What's sad is MichaelBOT has an article we're talking about. WTH!

Never made the playoffs and he left the team 4-12 .  Bottom line.

Since when does a GM take that blame? Part sure maybe 30-40% at most but the bulk is on the coaches. The players have been there to make the playoffs. Maybe by the skin of their teeth and with some luck but it was still possible.

if a large corporation continually loses money who takes the blame, the CEO or the mid management or line workers?

You guys can talk about Arrelious Benn, Luke Stocker, Carl Nicks, Eric Wright, and whoever else you want, but clearly Dominik's biggest mistake was the mishandling of Luke McCown. He should have been fired immediately after that. He threw away a great QB for nothing.

Well the CEO of a team is the owner. Should we fire the Glazers now?

No the Glazers are the stock holders.  The CEO is the guy (Dominick) they hired to run the company and make them money.

Nope! Malcolm Glazer is listed as the owner/president of the team aka CEO. Some teams actually have a separate CEO/President while other teams the owners handle that role but that is NOT the GM. A GM would be called the CFO. Look it up yourself. I know it sucks when stuff backfires on you but it happens to the best of them.  :P

Pretty sure he was comparing them to a corporation when it comes to duties within, not a straight line comparison.  Because the Glazers own the Bucs and cannot be fire, they are the stock holders...stock holders appoint a CEO to run the company (team president or GM).  What you said was factually correct, but you missed the point.

Let's put it into a slideshow. Note how GM and CEO are different. A GM is in charge of 1 piece of the pie while there are like half a dozen pieces. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1666258-what-exactly-does-each-member-of-a-teams-front-office-do Let's follow that with the current staff list of every team. Note how most teams have a president/CEO separate from the owner or GM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_National_Football_League_staffs

The GM does more than cap manage so CFO doesn't fit.  I stand by my position.  Owners = stock holders.  GM = CEO.  HC = President.  Asst. Coaches = managers.  Players = workers.  Domick was the top guy running the team for the owners.  His lack of results are the reason he got fired and deservingly so.

I stand by the facts and rest my case. If you can back your OPINION with facts then let's revisit it.  ;D

If the "facts" you are referring to come from Bleacher Report...you lost the argument.

Malcom Glazer can't even eat his oatmeal without help spooning it into his mouth.  He isn't running anything despite his official titles.

Dude, did you even look at the Wikipedia page you referenced?  You do realize that owner/president is not the same as CEO, right?  They are separate positions.  If you don't believe me you could look at the staffs of the Broncos, or Chiefs, or Chargers, or Eagles, or 49ers, or Texans, or Jets, or Patriots.  And the President and CEO may or may not be involved in ownership.  An owner is an owner, a President is a President and a CEO is a CEO.  If someone is listed as President/CEO, that means they are both the President and the CEO (they serve two roles).  So yeah, it sucks when stuff backfires on you!

David and Dotson are the only value he left us with. The Revis trade was an act of desperation that he should not have had the power to make. And anyone who would still make the McCoy pick in retrospect is lying to themselves.

Ummm...I would still make the McCoy pick and am very happy with it.  Not sure how I am lying to myself.

Then you're just dumb. Nobody forced Dominik to make the pick at #3 and absorb a top contract. Better players and/or value in the 1st round that year, by total cap charges 2010-2014Earl Thomas- $13.2MJason Pierre-Paul $16.2MMike Iupati- $12.5MDemaryius Thomas- $14.3MGerald McCoy? $66.8M  Not a coincidence those teams have been elite and the Bucs have been bottom feeders.
