If we do not makes the playoffs and Bowles is not retained, we should make SP the priority. Now, I actually am not in the "fire Bowles" camp as I think Oline and Leftwich are the issues, however I think there needs to be a plan in place.
If reports are true and SP is looking to bring Fangio with him as DC, then I would be ok parting ways with this staff.
Even though he was so annoying as the Saints coach, I would take Payton over this staff in a second. He almost guarantees winning records year in and year out, even with lessor talent. I doubt he Saints would trade him to us.
Only 1 very big problem with Payton coming to the Bucs. New Orleans still hold the contractual rights to Sean Payton through the 2024 season. Any teams that wants to sign Payton must make a trade with NO. I doubt NO would trade Payton to a NFC South team.
There are going to be better QB options for him to coach, so I'm not sure why he would come to Tampa. I'm guessing the Glazers would have to give Payton some ownership stakes for him to come to Tampa.
Never gonna happen, The Saints own the rights to him. Tampa would have to go through NO to get Payton and you know that's not going to happen.
Pipe dream.
the rumors are actually Brady to the Saints. Still in weak ass division but the Saints are in cap hell, dont have a first round pick, and just as aging weapons as the Bucs do. Would think Bucs are in a better situation sans the coaching.
wonder if we trade a first round pick to them for him and maybe throw in Alvin Kamara or somebody and maybe we can get him. Saints would get a pick they need.
question is if Bucs will move on from Bowles if he makes playoffs. If he misses it, a no brainer move. If he makes it and first round exit, then still a no brainer move but might get back lash.
hell the Raiders fired del Rio and Rich B after playoff years so dont see it being unreasonable if it means a year of Brady and the 2020, 2021 levels.

Even if he misses the playoffs he's probably still the HC next year. That's a guess based on the team and the circumstances, not the merits
Payton, Brady and Gronk to Indy.
So tired of all the speculation in the two Buccaneer sites. Is this what ‘investigative’ reporting has turned into? Tatterdemalions, I say and shout! Print facts rather than unsubstantiated thoughts/ideas.
Let's face the reality that Bowles is not a capable HC. Why waste another season to give him more time if he's shown he's in over his head as HC? Sean Payton won't land here either, there are multiple teams with better situations for him. Colts. Broncos. Panthers. Bears. Saints. I for one wonder why Payton or any other HC would want a statue [Brady] at QB next season. I feel he would be like Brees in his final season, good enough to win a few games, but not enough to get to the big game.
let's see Bowles and rebuilding with Gabbert or Brady with Payton and sell out crowds.
there's environmental, social, Governance ...and then there is business baby
here's hoping Bowles wins a superbowl this year and we dont have to worry about it...but miss playoffs or first round exit....and give me Brady ball
Terminating Bowles would be a complete house cleaning because it would be all of Arian's staff and Arians himself at VP.
I don't see them doing that, especially if Brady is moving on/retiring
that's the thing though....other than SF and maybe Miami; Tampa is the best spot for Brady in terms of talent and ability to win.
i can see him walking about if the Bucs win superbowl this year but good lord only die hard buc fans think we have a shot. Everyone else saw how much we struggled with a third string QB led Arizona nose dive team haha
so if SF or MIA dont want Brady, does Brady move on just to move on or does he see we are only a few reloads away from being 2020,2021 superbowl contenders again?
We have bent over backwards for the guy so if it means getting rid of a coach (Arians...erm i mean Bowles), and means keeping Brady. I think we are all for it...
Give Brady Gronk, Jensen, maybe upgrade LT and let's see him put up 30 burgers each game again.
Interesting idea.
I think Brady retires. I think he is great and many Bucs fans think he is great, but I think he probably sees some of his skills eroding. Just being fair and trying to be real, not a shot at Brady.
If he did stay here and Payton was out there, Payton is not coming here because we'd have to trade for him, so that would mess up the most common speculated plan for Brady.
Also, aren't we in rough shape now in terms of the cap? Cant profess to follow it, so that's why I ask. Haven't we sold our soul to win such that we are almost forced to clean house on some guys. If so, inconsistent with taking one more shot with Brady?
