Seriously: why is Aldon Smith not on this team yet?

This guy's probs aren't nearly as bad as Hardy's and Gallette's and they got second chances on other teams. I'd take Aldon over both of those in a heart beat in any case. So why have we not signed this guy to a similar type of pay-for-play, prove it deal that those other two bums got? We have the cap space, the dire need for an edge pass rusher, phisically he is literally the prototype of what we need in a RE. He's gonna get a shot at a new beginning somewhere, so why not here? Do it L&L. Do it NOW.
