Listen, we won a Superbowl with Shaq. and he's a good dude. We should always be grateful...because we may never win another Super bowl in our life time. Now if we have to keep him for cap reasons than it is what it is but he's no longer a double digit sack guy and that's what we need out of him.
As far as being negative on the Superbowl:
Look at teams like the Saints, Packers, and Steelers.
The Saints have had Drew Brees for 15 damn years and have one Superbowl win to show for it
The Packers have had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for damn 30 years and they have 2 Superbowls to show for it
The Steelers have had Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin for 30 years, making playoffs alot of years. They have 2 Superbowls to show for it
Teams like the Patriots and now Chiefs defy the odds who had Brady taking team discounts and Mahomes who is a winner (and sore loser)
The way we restructured Shaq hes guaranteed his money and spot next year the best we can have him do is adapt into a passrush specialist while letting the other guys get playing time while hes there to still guide and lead. Gage is gone and JTS has 1 more year on his rookie contract so he'll have 1 more opportunity
Shaq can actually be designated post June first cut. If he is it saves the team 5 mil with a 14 mil dead cap hit. Gage saves 10 mil with 3m dead cap if cut post June 1st.

Jonathan Greenard is a guy I've been keeping an eye on this year and I woudlnt mind throwing money at him if we have it, contract year, dog mentality, personality to fit the lockerrroom and 10 sacks on the year so far

Agreed, throw that 5 mil at another position and let YaYa take the job with Nelson coming off the bench. Cutting CD3 also nets 14 mil with 6 in dead cap. I’d like to see more Markees Watts before the end of the year also
Cutting Barrett doesn't make sense to me... he might be washed but he's a leader first and foremost. We don't have those on defense imo. Maybe he will restructure the last year but doubt it.
JTS just let him play out the rest of his contract and move on. He's solid depth, just not a starter.

Licht really messed up with this contract. Even if they release him as a post 6/1 designation he's going to carry a $17.4M dead cap hit in 2025. Jensen will carry an $11.8M dead cap hit in 2025 too.

Shaq has no contact balance anymore, he just finds a way to find the ground on his pass rush, because he cant stay upright anymore, if he stays up he catches love breaking the pocket on the TD. Its been like this the last 4 weeks
Understandable why he has no contact balance, hes not trying to stress his achillies to retear but it has made him a liability, hes no where near 100% if anything he looks liek hes 50% because hes not trying to stress his achillies, just give him 15-20 snaps a game, don't expect him to win 1v1 more than 25% of the time, goodjob on the half sack though,

Had another stud game today vs TEN show him the money and we get another piece to make a run next year
He looked a lot better last week showed more burst and snap anticipation on his rushes, still not the same guy but much better film this last week
