Davis is for the most part average to slightly above when it comes to defending WRs, he's been very Jekyll and Hyde this year with his play, but has been AWFUL for a long time with coming away with turnovers. Dean is very similar, and it seems like they are rarely on the same page with their play....if one is playing well the other seems to be having a lapse. The main reason I mentioned Davis as a cut option over Dean is that by cutting CD3 you save 14 mil. as a post june 1st cut. If you cut Dean you only save 3 mil and some change as a post june 1st cut.
Part of me says CD3 performs for his contract year at 27 so he can grab another contract, but if we do cut him for cap I want the money to go to FA pass rusher and for us to draft a replacement.
The bash brothers at corner just need to focus and work on studying more film and being aware of situational football. Their film in the skid weeks was then going thru the motions at times and weren’t thinking(focusing). They gave up plays they usually don’t in previous years most likely due to focus and that they got paid so less motivation was there for them these recent years.

tend to agree. They got their 21 mil contracts and now it’s like they feel they can live off past credentials. I’d rather have a less skilled player that is cerebral, and focused over someone that thinks they can just go out and do their thing. If CD3 is cut I’d also like some of that money to go to a pass rusher, as well as part going to a Corner that can fill in when needed(you know Dean is going to miss games) while also drafting a corner that can develop behind the scenes much the way McCollum did.
