Bucs have two weeks as of today before the start of the season. Honestly a lot can change till then.
for sure. I was just thinking if it from an impact perspective as opposed to depth. In other words was there a significant contributor you thought might be ready by week 1 even though out now
Sanders waived. Not too surprising.
When the season starts a lot of the players will be "ready" to go. Just like how Wirfs and Godwin timetable all of sudden were moved up.
Smoke and mirrors.
Bro, they will not be ready to go when the season starts. Especially Godwin (a second major procedure on the ankle this spring...thanks Todd).
Thinking otherwise is hopium.
No one said they are ready to start but their time table was moved up. If that is the same for Wirfs and Godwin then that also is applied to other injured players too with the exception of McMillan.
Don't buy the Bucs team putting out false info about their injury concerns and using PR as megaphone. In two weeks you are going to see most of the team ready to go. I wouldn't be surprised if Godwin starts practicing week 1 but is a healthy inactive scratch for the first game.

Izien because he can play NCB, both safety spots and boundary CB in a pinch. Need Izien 100% ready to go.
We will see if Hall sticks and Morrison's progress. Plus, Winfield Jr needs to heal up a bit because those hamstrings can flare up but two weeks is plenty of time to rest a hammy.
Tristan said today that he won’t be back for week 2, right now he’s saying week 3-ish.
Godwin hasn’t started running yet, let alone planting/cutting.
J-Mac - don’t expect to see him until after the bye week.
None have done intense workouts or even gotten into cardio yet. We’re going with who we have - but it’s still not the way we wanted it.
Everyone expects a lot of 12 personnel etc, gonna have to see what we have in Tez, lean on Otten, (personally I hope that Culp is ready to be integrated into the offense). We’ll also need all 3 RB’s to handle the load - need Grizz to hit on that play calling stuff - and I haven’t even started on the defense yet.
Was much more excited a few weeks ago - still excited - but adjusting expectations a bit.
I would love to be proven wrong!
all 3 RB’s to handle the load
they might go with 4? This is Bowles on Josh Williams
"It wasn’t just special teams, he’s a good running back as well,” Bowles said. “We think he can catch. We think he’s a heck of a pass protector.
“We know he can run the ball as he showed us on special teams, but he also made some tackles. So, you know, a lot of that goes into the evaluation. He can do multiple things.”
So much emphasis on fame these days. When's the last time that Adam Schefter broke the news of an UFA 4th or 5th Safety being cut?
The Bucs seem to like the kid, but you still have to play games.
Godwin will be week 3 on limited snaps imo.
Wirfs will be week 3 as well.
SR - "At no point in time had Sanders done anything to warrant consideration for the 53-man roster. Kaevon Merriweather, Rashad Wisdom and certainly undrafted free agent J.J. Roberts, who is out for the year with a knee injury, were always ahead of Sanders on the depth chart in the minds of the Bucs' brass. It was either making the practice squad or getting cut, and Sanders' ejection from a game in which he needed to play all four quarters made releasing him a pretty decision to make."
Prime chime
"“And I’ve prepared my kids for any and every thing that could possibly happen, in life and in sports. That’s part of fathering, that’s part of parenting, that’s part of having a relationship. So he is mentally where he needs to be. Physically where he needs to be. We’re praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team, but if he doesn’t, the plans have already been put forward to what he’s going to do next. So Shilo’s a man of many talents. I don’t know if you guys know, he’s a man of many talents and he’s gonna be straight."
maybe done with football?
After going undrafted and getting cut after training camp with the Buccaneers, Shilo Sanders seems to know he’s a long shot to make it in the NFL.
Sanders released a video in which he said he’d love another opportunity in the NFL but also has other opportunities in his life, outside football.
“I feel like this is just part of my story to grow and do bigger and better things. Whether it’s finding another team, whether it’s getting another opportunity in the NFL, it is what it is,” Sanders said. “My time being with the Buccaneers has been nothing but great. The city, my teammates, my coaches, everybody has poured in love and support toward me and I’ll be forever grateful for that.”
Sanders said he could go into music, acting or modeling if he doesn’t play in the NFL.
“I’ll be talking to my agent and we’re waiting on the next opportunity. If that’s in the NFL, cool, but God has blessed me with a lot of talent to do things other than football,” Sanders said
