I can see both sides of the discussion.  The Niners are getting hosed,  but if they reseeded all teams by record, who would give a rats azz about winning their division?  I think it would cause a lot of teams to mail it in the last 2-3 games of the season. And that is never a good idea.

If you opened up the seeding you would have more meaningful games at the end of the regular season. For example the Chiefs would have played their starters Week 17 and if they won would have been the #3 seed instead of the #5 seed. Huge difference. In 2007 we would have kept playing to secure our home game. The people who argue to keep the current system don't have any valid points, just say random things that aren't even true.

Unfortunately for the "no changes" folks, by being conservative on an issue they are, by definition, stuck. History favors the progressives and the change. Stagnation is rarely favored.Dynamic seeding offers more flexibility. Innovation wins.

Yea, the "they should have won more games" point is really something I can't get my head around because San Francisco has the 3rd best record in the conference while playing in the best division are the 5th seed. If the Bucs were 12-4 going to play this game at Green Bay today you guys would be screaming your heads off, Hate being first in line.

and being progressive has pussified the league to the point that it's no longer the great game it used to be.

Not true. If we wanna host a game, we should win our division. My stance on that will never change.

Hold on. So coming up with rules (that still need the kinks worked out) that can decrease the risk of injuries. Rules that emphasize not hitting at full speed with your helmet (Which contains your most vital organ!).. are pussfication? They are not manly? How is getting a concussion manly? How are concussions a great game? I think not getting a concussion is really freaking awesome. Why do you support concussions Hate? Are you in bed with big pharma?

I'm all for helping these guys be safer, but rules like the "defenseless receiver" are complete garbage and are ruining the game. Also, the 15 yard helmet to helmet penalties have to be automatically reviewed. The game happens too fast and there are a lot of players being penalized for good hits. Until they start automatically reviewing those penalties, it will continue to ruin the game.

Don't trying to figure out what my opinion is on something without asking me, you seem to have a hard enough time coming up with anything smart for yourself without the extra burden.I wouldn't be complaining about having to go to Green Bay because that how the league is set up, if you want that home game beat all 3 teams in your division and take it, don't cry because you failed to earn that right by the rules that have been in place for a long time.

Exactly, and it doesn't take a genius to see this.... or maybe it does.
