Another Dom bust.  I hope he's nowhere near our roster in August.  He needs a new team.

Man you really have a thing for Dominik. Seems kinda personal. What did he do to you?

The "he couldn't beat out DTN" narrative is crap. At no point has DTN ever been more productive than Bowers. Bowers got in the Schiano dog house, simple as that. Besides, it's not like Greg knew what to do with DLineman. We all know that and **CENSORED**ed about it for two years straight, but when it comes to Bowers, he was supposed to be able to bypass the stupidity of the line games? I'll wait to see what he can do with a competent staff.

ThisI find it funny that as much as we bash Schiano for his scheme, we then criticize the player for not excelling in said scheme. Same applies to Glennon....the rookie went 19/9 in a failed system that took Eli 3 years to figure out....If this staff is as good as everyone says, then it should be a clean slate and wait and see approach for the entire roster.

So, you're not even interested in what the new staff might be able to do with him? I'm willing to give him one more shot.I do find it funny, that as much as you've bitched and moaned and cried about the Schiano staff and how horrible they were, you're also just as quick to dismiss a player without regard for said coaching staff's impact on his development. Doesn't make sense.Oh wait......you're just a whiney little troll. Guess it makes perfect sense after all.

Did Schiano's scheme and staff keep McCoy, Spence, Clayborn, Gholston or  Miller and Bennett from looking like they at least belonged on a NFL roster?

Did Schiano's scheme cause him to show up out of shape too?

wow. Does that count as even setting a bar? Or is that just leaving the bar on the ground?

McCoy is an allpro player who was dreadful in limited action his first two years and Bennett was actually probably better in Seattle. Spence, Adrian, Gholston, and Miller didn't exactly light the world on fire.

His cap number is miniscule so I have no problem letting him come to camp one more time and seeing if , by some miracle , the lightbulb goes off.

not saying Schiano's scheme didn't suck and probably held back their production but they were all able to earn their  playing time and show some of their talent.  Bowers did not and the door was wide open for him to do so at first.

What I don't get, is why he should be shown the door now when we have a completely different coaching staff? What is the harm in keeping him around at least through training camp? Like DJ pointed out, his cap number isn't necessarily hurting us. See if he responds to a new set of coaches and circumstances. If he doesn't, then we'll know for sure. He can find himself stocking shelves for all I care.

Didn't say there was any harm.  I just would not count on him like the last regime did this last year.  And he would have to earn his roster spot for the first time.

I don't think anyone is counting on him. He is definitely on thin ice. But cutting him outright, without giving the new staff a chance to kick the tires would be extremely foolish.

And healthy.  He was never the same after the knee problems. It was a risky pick, and its getting to the point now, where its time to move on. For both parties.
