It raises questions about whether he’s still nursing an injury or simply not performing at a high level.
my guess would be a little of both. He has definitely lost a spark and he threw some really bad passes, including the key one to Egbuka late, but he also threw some impressive passes.
Its a little unfair to him because the O-line is totally overwhelmed, in the interior especially. Id have to watch again, but it seems like Grizz even went way from under center PA passing because a couple times early Mayfield turned from the fake only to have defenders right in front of him.
If you believe that the game is won in the trenches then you'd see this team as dead, fully dead already, if for no other reason then the terrible play of the O-line as a unit. The interior of our O-line was actually bullied.
But to your point Mayfield was off on a number of throws and he does not seem like the Mayfield we have seen last season or even early this season.
Evans looked like he wanted to murder Todd on the sidelines.
Yep.
Our Canton-bound true WR1 made it very clear he’s sick of the loser.
And, he’s not the only one.
I just don't understand how you have them in a 3rd and 28 because the blitz's were getting home and they immediately go to a soft zone. How do you not call a time out on 4th and 14?
I understand Morrison has struggles this year, but they made him inactive to get Vildor in the game? Christ.

Clueless coaching.
@badabingbucs they gotta beat Seattle but yeah brutal
Who does?
if Carolina wins their next 2, they clinch
that’s the saints and bucs
theyd be 9-6 and losing out would get them to 9-8
wed be 7-8 and win out gets us to 9-8 but they’d have better division record at 4-2
Considering the team was up 14 points in the fourth quarter and still lost to a team with 19 penalties and a backup QB converting a 3rd-and-28, it’s probably the worst loss for this franchise in quite some time. Pretty disgusting, although not surprising.

it honestly was so bad, i think we are going to revert back to the Bucs from 2009 to 2019

This would be a 12-win team under Coen (and a competent DC).
Licht should be able to hire the new coaching regime and his future rides on that.
The temperature on his seat should be very warm right now.

well that is the interesting question because one side will say we are loaded with talent just need a new HC and/or DC. The other will say not only do we need a new HC and/or DC but we need a full on overhaul of the D.
They second scenario is not much of a stretch IF you question the character/commitment of players like Reddick, Dean (gone), McCollum and even AWJ. Even if you exempt AWJ, you need at least one edge player, both LBs and now maybe another DB and/or S. Vea is 30, I think . . .
And once you bring in a new DC and/or HC all bets are off on existing players because they might not fit the system etc. AWJ is s small safety. Maybe Smith too. Parrish a smallish CB etc etc
I think that it's a difficult situation but not an impossible one. Most of the fixes need to be done on defense and we definitely a new hc, hopefully an offensive mind. Defensively we don't have a pass rush but we also have a scheme that is awful and doesn't benefit the players in certain situations. There's better ways to handle some situations where we can get off the field and get it back to the offense. Where a better mind at hc and leader for defense would help there. I'm not sold on the roster oline and tight end need help. I think some things could change it for the better quickly. Some fundamental stuff that can be fixed in one off-season. Do that we give ourselves a chance next year. This year is in the trash. Did you see Bowles post game? He's done.

i mean i was glad to see emotion but doesn't wipe off my hate for how much this team underachieved this year. I want blood and a change
those that wanted to blame injuries, hopefully can see the light now
could you imagine this team quit goes 7-10, 8-9, and they retain Bowles? Holy fuck.
not possible right?......right?

I think he is too, but there is definitely a scenario where he stays for one more year, especially with his recent extension.
That scenario is one where Licht and OBP (Glazers) see the personnel issue on D and clean it out. The comments from Sherman a few weeks back and GMC yesterday and Mayfield (a big one) last night might suggest something like this (emphasis on "might"). Add in Licht saying last year that Bowles deserved credit for what he had to work with. Most tookthat as a statement about talent) but maybe not.
Easier to let him go, even with the extension
it doesn't help Bowles case with the success Vrabel is having
New England defense was ranked 22nd in YPG and PPG last year
this year they are ranked 7th in YPG and 5th in PPG
i mean shit, look at the defensive depth chart and look at ours and you tell me who has more talent.

yes totally agree. Vrabel has done a great job and McDaniel maybe a better C than HC? Who knows m?
there are better coaches and better ways. Bowles success with the Bucs is as much tied to his fit with the Bucs ways as it is with the w-l record.
