I, like most, was on cloud 9 after last season and after the draft. They had signed desean, drafted OJ howard, Winston entering year 3. Super Bowl aspirations. None of us expected a 5-11 season. Now I admit I am still not happy the entire coaching staff/FO is back, koetter has never impressed me on the collegiate level as a HC, nor as an NFL HC. He gets outcoached more often than not. Licht had some nice hits as far as draft, but lots of swings and misses as well.
Today just cutting Martin and Baker alone, saving 11.5mil in space and losing basically nothing in production is a win win. I hope Chuck Sims is gone as well honestly.
At least licht/koetter are learning from their mistakes and making the necessary moves to improve. Obviously this off season will do a lot to their future and lack there of, but I for one am rooting for them to turn this ship around. They need to nail this draft, and get at least an impact FA or 4 (RB, OL, DL, secondary)
