Supersuits aid in preventing fatigue
Saw this on a site that I read daily and wondered if this type of thing would have a real world benefit in sports:
"In an initial series of laboratory tests, the suit reduced loading on the low back muscles by about 20% during lifting and up to 40 percent during leaning, and it reduced the rate at which back muscles fatigue by 30 to 40 percent, on average."
Offensive/Defensive linemen constantly are using the lower back muscles and I wonder if such a piece of clothing could help reduce this stress and perhaps allow the player to play better or longer? I doubt there is any current rule against something like this in the NFL, so at some point someone is going to try it. Might as well be us.
Smart clothing is something that teams should be looking at if they are not already doing so.
