Draft manziel wherever he might land and be happy about it imo.

That is a possibility now, however unlikely.  No frekin way Schiano was going to draft him.

Yup. And now I'm hoping the second part of my wishlist is granted.

Someone who beat the best defense in college twice doesn't have number seven value?Excuse me if I agree to disagree.

As I mentioned before, I'm not sure he gets passed the Browns, Raiders, Jaguars, and Vikings. He's from Texas, don't put it pass the Texans either, it's along time between now and the Draft. Also, the Rams have the #2 pick again. Someone might trade for him, I have a feeling it'll be the Browns.

I really don't think Manziel is going to translate well into the pros.  He's fun as hell to watch no doubt- I just don't think his antics hold up against an NFL defense.  I honestly think he'll be a turnover machine between injuries.  He will make some highlight reel plays here and there building him a large following, but I have a gut feeling he will be too inconsistent to be successful.

All very possible. I think if he's in the right situation he will succeed. If he has a coach who will play to his strengths, he will be fine.

You can't just draft a position because it's a need if the value isn't there. That is how you end up with wasted bust picks.

What's funny is, if we had drafted Glennon in the first half the haters here would be crowing about how good he is instead of whining about how he sucks.  That first round label means a lot to a lot of people, more than the actual play of the QB.

No they wouldn't.  You're wildly misconstruing people's arguments.

I really like Manziel but I am not willing to trade a future first round pick to trade up and get him. If we can move up a couple spots and give up a 2nd rounder or less then I'd think about it; however, we have so many other holes to be giving up picks. I almost prefer to stick at 7 and see if he slips to us. If he does, grab him. If someone else takes him, then draft the best player available at either O-Line, DE, WR, or trade back a bit and draft a TE. Worst case we are stuck with Glennon for a season and we draft a QB in 2015 when the class is deeper. I think our schedule is pretty tough next year and I am not sure we do much better...especially if we unload some guys and start rebuilding. You are looking at Winston, Mariota, Petty, and possibly Hundley and Bortles (depending on if the last 2 declare this year) as top 15 guys. The Bucs would probably end up with one of those guys.

When we're the only team in the division without a Franchise QB, If he's your guy, you go get him. IMO, He's(JFF) the guy. Get him, we have a lot of talent, and a good amount of cap space to work with. I don't believe we have as many holes as others; The O-Line should get tweaked. IMO, we're a Coach and a QB away from making the playoffs; QB on the Offensive side of the ball. On Defense, We need another DE.

Tom is right. If he has the right system/coach, who will let him use his abilities, he's going to be good.

Cleveland Browns are reportedly in love with Manziel... I'd be happy as hell to have him, but not going to happen.

still absolutely baffles me that people think we should draft a qb when we have GLARING needs at DE and both Guard positions

Well, it's entirely possible that there won't be a DE worth taking at #7 and no OG is worth taking that high.  And there are no more valuable players in the league than franchise quarterbacks.  Of course, it's entirely possible that there will be no QBs worth taking that high as well.  (It's McShay, so take it for what it's worth, but he has Manziel going to the Jags, for example.)
