If we manage to re-build our offensive line and add a playmaker, I will feel pretty darn good about it.
So Hayseed, are we not entitled to have our own opinions? Ones that might differ from yours or that of the organization. Do we have to turn in our fan card if we have said opinions? I mean this team that has won 28 games in the last 5 years never makes bad decisions right?
With all of the Glennon hate and related jackasssery that you spew, I'm just curious of the response if the staff decides to put their eggs in the Glennon basket. Are you going to run around and demand that they be fired because they can't see what you can?LOL at the "entitled to their opinions". Everyone is, of course. Just trying the gauge the level of ensuing stupidity should the Bucs opinion differ from yours.
I would be fine with rolling with Glennon for another year. New system, new sets of eyes. Too soon to throw-in the towel. I think it is more logical to focus on drafting on higher positions of need and waiting until the 2015 draft for a QB when the draft class for QB's will be stronger.

+1

Exactly. It'll be Tedford's offensive system, and HE should make the call on if Glennon can handle it. If the answer is "NO" after a year, THEN Lovie drafts a top-tier QB in 2015. To do it in 2014 would be setting BACK another position of real need, like WR and O'line, TE, DE, et al... To decide after 13 games under Sullivan/Schiano Glennon isn't good enough seems premature. Only way I'd agree is if Tedford wants a mobile QB, which he might, and I'd roll with that...
#1, I don't hate Glennon. I just think he's going to become an above average starting QB in this league and makes the Bucs a contender. Could I be wrong? Sure. But not afraid to put my opinion out there. Isn't that what we are all doing here? The only jackassery I see is from you.
Watkins would give Glennon a threat like Hilton does to Luck. With the kind of arm that Glennon has i think it would be wise to maybe trade down to like 10th for a 1st and a 3rd and grab Watkins with the 10th pick. at WR he can a huge impact on Glennons progression.
I don't have much confidence in Glennon but I'll support whatever Tedford and Lovie decide until we see the results next season.
Next year we should see a few mobile-able (not natural runners, but can move it) QB's available.
If they decide to roll with Glennon we're going to have to win a lot of 13-10 games next year.

EVERY next QB class is "THE QB" class.
Would have to trust their judgement and hope we don't pass on a QB that becomes great.
Doesnt matter, even if Bridgewater&Co bust big time, they are '1st rounders', which is always better than a 3rd rounder currently on the team. We should still cry about Glennon being 1 out of 31 QBs which do not win a SB in 2014.
No thanks man. Better find another QB if we hope to win next year. We really screwed ourselves by winning meaningless games -- now we aint going to land one of the top QBs in the draft. And next year we'll probably win just nuff games to not be in position to get one neither. That tell me maybe we make a run at a veteran QB, but there aren't any worth a damn right now.

Or we would have lost enough games this year to draft the one bust out of the 2014 draft and not draft another QB in the next 2-3 years because of the will to give our investment some time to develop. In the end we will have to indentify the one good QB and develop him no matter what...and trade up if needed. Collecting high draft picks alone wont get us any further. Not as if picking top3 on regular base makes us look like a team just one QB away from the promised land...we might suck so bad, we burn our 'awesome' rookie, and select to move on from him too fast because of the overall record of the team.
I think this team needs a franchise QB. I liked what I saw from Glennon, but if you are in position to draft that guy, then do it. A second year Glennon and 1st round OT might make us good enough to draft 15 next year which will put us further away from the elite talent. Everytime you draft a QB it does not need to set your organization back 2-3 years. Glennon might very well be Chris Simms or a serviceable NFL starter long-term. Either way he has not done anything to deminish his trade value long-term.While the Redskins paid a ransom for RG3 he came out of the gates like a world beater before injury. Simply put, I want to keep drafting QB's until we have that guy for the next 10-15 years. I don't condone giving up a a ransom like the Redskins did. However, if Lovie thinks the next great QB is in this class, I want Lovie to go get them. Remember when Gruden had the trade worked for Calvine Johnson? He knew he would be an Elite NFL WR, but instead he was overruled by Allen and Monte for Gaines Adams. The draft is somewhat of a crapshoot despite all of the research, but I do think you have to go get your guy at QB if he is there and you believe he is a sure thing.
