Analytics say the 3rd round is where you are most likely to find that player. The 3rd round is where you typically see a run on guards in the draft nearly every year. Because that is where the market has decided the value is the greatest.

In fact, Ali Marpet was a late 2nd rounder and he was a great draft pick. If you had drafted him in the top 10 it would have still been a good draft pick, but it would NOT have been good value at all, and it would NOT have been a great draft pick.

If you are drafting OL in the top 10 you need to draft a franchise LT, or even a great RT. Otherwise, you are not getting good value.

As much needs as the Bucs have, I dont see how anyone could possibly even consider using pick No.7 on a guard. Especially a phone booth mauler. Discuss.
