I was reading a few articles that were posted during this offseason so far. With Jason Licht not recieving an extension and Bruce Arians being brought in on a 5 year contract (4 yr w/5th yr option). Early on in his press conferences from the beginning through today BA's rhetoric about "buidling and grooming" his position coaches and coordinators for the next level... hiring an unprecedented large coaching staff (Which also includes a lot of "consultants" like Todd Moore and Larry Rose etc)... and reiterating at every step and turn that he is taking more of an "overseer" approach... lead me to think (completely speculative, no solid/concrete evidence beyond conjecture) Bruce Arians seemingly is preparring a deep and complete staff to land into Jason Licht's position in the very likely chance that his contract is not renewed beyond this season.

The only things that don't seem to jive with this theory I came up with is Bruce Arians doesn't seem like the Front Office/Numbers/Contract GM type of guy... He seems like he can Generally Manage the actual football aspect of the game, but I don't know if he can handle the Business/Commerce/Economics of the NFL. He has all the requisite relationships and the cachet to do the job.

Even in the position coaches interviews when they speak about BA and their individual relationships with him... they always reference the "family" type of atmosphere he fotsters... but also many of them have went into other organizations to try and further their careers only to learn how much the "business" of football has changed... I think I was listening to Harold Goodwin's press conference. Also Todd Bowles etc... It seems like BA saw an opportunity to come to the rescue for many of his protégés... get his band of coaches together and continue their growth and development...

Set up the infrustructure and then slide even further into a real overseer role (GM or President of Operations) and promote one of his coaches to HC (again - Todd Bowles or maybe someone new like a Harold Goodwin etc) and continue to grow, promote, and elevate the other coaches.

It's the dog days of the off season and I'm in full conspiracy mode right now for entertainment purposes. On a scale of Zero to Plausible, where does this land?
