I should say that my first name is Dominic and "Dummynik" was an insult kids used on me in like 3rd grade.
Sounds about right. Very witty.
I wish Dom well. He left us with talent
No, he didn't.
There are three All-Pros on defense and multiple Pro Bowlers on offense. The team has talent.
The issue is Dom couldn't draft linemen on either side of the ball an d that was ultimately his downfall.
The issue is he couldn't draft at all (not just on the lines), couldn't negotiate contracts, couldn't scout FAs, and couldn't scout his own players, you know, all the things a GM is responsible for.Ultimately I could care about what kind of person he is. Nice guy? I don't give a shit. Good father? Fuck you! Go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here - close!
Sounds like Dom knew what he was doing from a player personnel standpoint, but was too easily influenced by coaches. Thats what a GM has to do. The roster is his, gameday is the coach's.Overall - not a terrible job by a young guy with a lot of promise. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and goes on to have a very successful career. I appreciate the 19 years Mark. Good luck in the future.

In spite of him, not because of him.

How convenient. Tough to reconcile with this line, though:

Regarding the Clayton contract, someone refresh my memory, did Mann not get fired with Gruden? Did he just stick around for 2009 and then they hired that college coach or is Dominik blaming the wrong guy?
The team has talent...just not enough to cover all the glaring holes his dumb ass left in other key areas , and not enough to leave us with any depth whatsoever.Obvious to most , but Brett "scarecrow" Blackburn mad.

Mann was the WR Coach and an Ass. HC under Morris in 2009. His contract expired after 2009, and I'm sure his involvement in re-signing Clayton had quite a bit to do with him not being retained.
I liked him...He really tried to provide the coaches with what they needed and maintained the cap well. I hope he finds success.
Yo, why do we gotta keep getting this fluff about marky mark Dominick from pr man? It was bad nuff that pr went out of there way to not report the failures of our 28-52 gm. Now pr trying to act like his agent and inflate what he actually accomplished here to help him get a job somewhere else. 28-52No playoff appearancesNo franchise qbNo consistent pass rushOffensive line issuesYo, that is a great resume right there. Gimme a break pr. Why you keep making excuses for this dude? I got news for you all. Even if freeman didn't become a train wreck he still would have flamed out. Dude was never going to be accurate nuff at this level. Pr saying Dominick was basically a puppet. Dont blame him for the bad moves and decisions, but give him credit for the good ones. Man I hope Dom be paying you all nuff to sell your credibility down the river. For now on, we gonna call here the marky mark report.
Yeah...the tears in the eyes part was a little over the top and showed severe bias. Oh well. New chapter for the Bucs.
So that certain person played a role in they Glazers hiring Schiano.....a lot of defenders of him denied that for the last two years.

+1,000,000I'm also wondering why SR keep claiming that releasing Nicks would give us $7 million cap space when he actually cost slightly more if released then if we keep him thanks to our genius ex GMs reworked deal.Because that new deal was done so late in the year (after the first preseason game) it means the roster bonus he paid out got spread over the contract like a signing bonus would. What would have been the point in paying out all of that money a year early anyway when simply rolling over the cap space to the next year frees up the same cap space?
