I don't see all the "Keep Schiano" posts. I see "Crap, the Glazers are going to keep him because he won crap games." I must not be following the same fan base you are PR.
We're here. There's a lot of us. The "Keep Schiano" crowd knew the truth about all the personal attacks would eventually come out. The "keep Schiano" crowd by and large doesn't howl on the radio or scream on the message boards, but maybe more should. Regardless we're a rather large, even if a little too quiet group.
So you're cool with losing 10+ games this year because you can blame it all on a guy that hasn't been in Tampa for 3 months?
I'm cool with the future success of this team w/ a coach and leader who the media vultures tried their best to run out of town , all based on falsehoods. Added to that was the MRSA, the league leading injured reserve list, and a rookie QB. In future years he'll be judged on W-L record, but few people, in football or not in football could have weathered the storm he has. It was reported "he lost the locker-room", which we now know (some of us knew then) was the opposite of reality. It's time now to move on with a coach who can now devote 100% of his working time to football...and not all the other garbage.
Being a "good guy" means squat when you go 4-12. He simply can't coach, the starting a rookie QB was his own doing.

He has never won a conference or division title in 13 straight years. He has an overall losing record lifetime. Point me to something...anything that says this guy is a winner. Again, I ask a Schiano supporter to provide tangible and quantifiable data points not some gut feeling or he sounds like a head coach. BS!
There's a lot of us.
No, there aren't.

He's just counting the voices in his head...
All of the unwarranted personal attacks on Schiano have created a lot of sympathy for him. Probably the best thing he's got going for him now is the vitriol spewed by the mindless haters.

An injured reserve list that contains 1 important player who didn't do squat this year. 1 WR who is solid but not a star. And thats a valid excuse? You've got to be kidding... I can put all the scrubs I want on IR to make it look like we had a "rash of injuries" but the truth is this has been a rather healthy year for the Buccaneers.Castillas= splitting time with Watson anywaysCrabtree= Barely playedM Williams= You can have this one, barelyD Martin= Was replaced, twice.M James= Was replacedM Adams= back end DBL Stocker= Bust from day 1D Gorrer= Back end DBC Barth= Kicker, should've been properly replacedJ Demps= barely with the teamR Sheppard= Who?R Melvin= Who?N Byham= Who?M Smith= Who?A Gaitor=Who?I understand I do know every one of these players, but to include them would make a mockery of REAL players like Martin and Williams. I would contend losing the kicker matters more than any of those other players.

On the message boards and talk radio, not so many. That's not representative of the whole.

There is no "whole". There are plenty of people, like me, who believe Schiano was treated 100 times more poorly by the media than they ever accused him of treating Freeman. I get it. He's not the monster that the haters like to portray. But there are not "a lot" of people who want Schiano back. There are some who are willing to give him another chance after all the drama. There are those who reconciled themselves to his return. There are those who don't want to fire him because they are over the coaching carousel and will deal with suck for a year if it means not starting over faster than they can adjust to. But there are damn few who WANT him back because they believe in him. You might actually be the only one.
Don't people normally have to be successful at what they do in order to have "haters"?4-10 bitches!

doc, I've read your posts and all that I can remember, I appreciate that your argument against the head coach has been one of X's and O's, scheme, in-game management rather than the campaign filled with lies.
There are some who are willing to give him another chance after all the drama.
Yep, they are a big part of the "keep Schiano" group. He took hits for his character via the press, but when the truth finally started to surface, sentiment for keeping the coach started growing and still is. Pewter Report is late, but I'm glad they're finally admitting who their "source" was in the matter. Sure, there are lots of people who actually despise those with good character. He can't do anything to win them over.
You might actually be the only one.
Lol. When it comes to X's and O's and on-field football philosophy, I'm in the minority for sure. But I do believe in what he preaches, as far as running the ball, imposing our will, take our shots and good defense. And I've made my wishes on the insider's board for 35 runs a game, 15 yds/Completion, and a top 5 defense as a GOAL. Achieved or not, approaching these numbers will result in Wins. Hopefully we'll add talent to the roster, get injured players back, give Glennon lots of off-season work, and devote 2014 to football rather then spend time responding to lies and media induced hatchet jobs.
The injuries this year have been minor as far as things usually go. The Bucs have had way bigger injury problems other years.
By my count, we've had 4 starters get injured. Martin 's replacements have come pretty close to equaling his production. The Oline seemed to improve when Meredith took over for NicksTim Wright has well out produced anything that could've been expected from Stocker or CrabtreeThe only real damaging injury is Mike WilliamsMaybe I'm forgetting someone, but I don't think the injuries have been horribly significant
The running game wouldn't have been better early with a healthy Nicks and Joseph? I don't think Joseph is great but those two guards healthy helps. That has an impact on the rest if the offense, just like losing Williams means more than just the loss of his individual production. Same with Martin. None of that changes the coaching issues and the Freeman factor. They all have an impact. And to the poster who says "all teams have injuries, so it's a wash," less listening to coaches at a podium might be a good idea. Some teams have injury issues worse than the Bucs some less, the impact is measured accordingly ... By anyone but a coach at a podium.
Being fans of a team with a staggering lack of depth, I'm surprised that some of you believe that loss of depth isn't an issue.
Fire that bum schiano, he is 100% loser and will never win
