I just don't think you can pass on the other talent available for Donald unless you think he can rush from Defensive End. McCoy is too good, and it's too hard to get one and ones in the interior. That's why one guy is the nose tackle. You can't have 2 DT's shading Guards too often, you're going to get gashed even if the guys are beasts, and unless you have edge pressure guys are going to continue to leisurely step out of the pocket anyway (would you like some tuna with your roll out Collin Kapernick?) Mack will be gone, which sucks, but the Bucs have to invest in offense anyway. Draft Robinson or Matthews and stock up on speed later in the draft IMO. Now if neither of those guys are there, now that I think of that scenario better, I could see drafting Donald, especially if you address DE in Free Agency. If the Bucs were to trade down, I also like Austin Seffarin-Jenkins even more than Donald. I don't think their is another offensive player quite like him in the draft, and I like Watkins but all the speed later in this draft makes it tough to take him early. I'd have to really look at his ball skills again.
Not sure why this is so hard for some to understand...
We could get a UT and coach him up later in the draft if we really have nobody to backup McCoy. We don't need to pick a player at #7 for insurance. Donald could turn out to be a beast but we got our own already and he's arguably the best in the game.

Come on Delirious Jason. Who you trying to call out? Don't make me start the poll.
12 sacks? Hahahahaha, wanna put money on him not even getting close to that this year?

the 2 things i question - would teams still gash us on passing situations? I assume you mean gash as a run? And I don't see the leisurely stepping out of the pocket...is it that difficult for a de to outside rush for contain?
If Orakpo doesn't get franchised, I say go after him in Free agency, trade a 2015 conditional pick for Dion Jordan, and draft Aaron Donald at #7. Our pass rush would be ridiculous and once we do McCoy's new deal, everyone would be inked for the next 4 to 5 years. That sh!t would be awesome.
Our defense would be RIDICULOUS!
Offensive lines will be beg for mercy against the Tampa Bay Badcontractneers
I didn't realize the short bus gets wifi.
Lol! That sh!t got me!

Lol. You don't just "coach up" a guy and turn him into a great pass rusher. Guys either have it or they don't. Can't coach explosion. Only other UT in this draft that has "it" is Sutton, but he isn't nearly as versatile or special.
C'mon JDouble whatcha wanna bet, 12 sacks, you said it........

But do you need a special guy to back up McCoy when we have more pressing needs?

No I didn't. Learn how to read you nub.
Starting to believe Jake Matthews will be our pick at #7 if we can't trade down.

You act like he'd be sitting on the bench waiting for McCoy to get hurt. He'd be playing right next to McCoy and making our pass rush way better right away. The UT depth is just extra awesomeness that adds a lot of value for us.

He's a great prospect and I like him but I can't see it happening.
If not.....I'll have my fingers crossed for Robinson, Manziel, Bortles, or Gilbert.
Whoever they think the best player available is, thats who they need to draft.
