Will Mike Glennon be the Bucs' starting QB in 2014? Is Michael Vick a possibility as a challenger for Glennon? Which players will need to impress the Bucs' brass during the team's April mini-camp? Which second-round quarterback would be a good fit in Tampa Bay? Get the answers to these questions plus insight on Lovie Smith and his sons in this edition of SR's Fab 5. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&Itemid=20&view=item&layout=item&id=9625
They should pickup a free agent QB and draft Garoppolo in the 2nd, if he is there. Let Glennon and the veteran battle it out for the starting job. If the vet wins, they play 1-2 years while Garoppolo develops. If Glennon wins and plays well in 2014, then they are in a Redskin type position (RGIII, Cousins). Glennon would be the clear-cut starter moving forward and Garopollo would be possible trade bait for a team that likes his potential.
so nice...it was posted twice! One of the better ones IMO
SR saying the Bucs might run with Glennon and the Red Board hasnt exploded yet? Oh, that's right . . . didnt the fair open today?

Most Best Option that allows everyone to keep their job in 2014 and is a solid fallback plan for all accounts.I'd be shocked if it didn't turn out this way given the opportunity. It just makes too much sense.
For a team that needs exciting players now, I'm not sure a x2nd round developmental qb is the way to go.
Im pretty sure Vick won't come here unless he is the starter. He wants to play.

Vick will want the chance to compete, which we could offer him . I don't think any team is just going to hand him the job at this point in his career.
For a team that needs exciting players now...
? Why is now any different than any other time ?
Unless we acquire a 3rd round pick, no way I'd take a QB in the 2nd. We have too many other gaps to fill to spend a 2nd on a QB we may well not really need. If we do land a 3rd, then G...o looks like the way to go!
What gets confused sometimes is when a coach uses the term "athletic". Mike Glennon IS athletic; has a real strong throwing arm even by NFL standards, and he CAN run, just doesn't run like a shorter guy when it comes to change of direction. I've no doubt getting a better knee bend and loosening in the hips, as well as developing a quicker first step will all be worked on this off-season. He won't become Darren Sproles, but he can definitely improve with practice.

I think if you have a solid team with a strong fan base there is much more leeway to draft developmental prospects in the early rounds. I think the Bucs need present talent, not future talent.

With a due respect, this post is utter nonsense

So you are saying "he can run" like when I say "I can run", or when Bruce Jenner says, "lets jog"?
