You guys need to read up on the history of Darrelle Revis. He is not going to restructure his contract to create more cap room for you ever. The only time he is going to restructure his contract is if another CB starts making more than him. If that happens he will be happy to restructure. In fact if you read about his history you will find that he will hold out even if he is already under contract if he isn't the highest paid CB in the entire NFL. You will then be forced to give him a new contract or he will sit out. He really could care less about your cap problems.

really? someone want to keep the guy who made contract for Revis, Goldson, VJax, Nicks, Wright, Joseph, Koenen, Barth, Mike Williams, Zuttah?

You are giving him blame for something that was Dominik.  He manages the cap, not handing out money.  He's the one who works on the structuring of the money in what years they go into and how much is singing bonus and restructuring.  If he is to blame for those contracts then what is it Dominik did to get fired?

I don't buy that one bit. You're saying that he just looks at the numbers decides how its going to be broken up without having any say on how much the player is getting? Don't believe it. Especially considering the fact that in order for him to manage the cap he has to have an idea of how much the team is committing to the players.

You can buy whatever you want, but this guy doesn't negotiate contracts with the agents.  That's the GM's job.  This guy helps the GM with the structure of the contracts and how it relates to the cap now and in the future.

Wow. I had a major brain fart. I miss read the post. I thought he was saying that Dom wasn't the one who came up with the numbers for the contracts. My bad.

Naw man, saying the GM negotiates the deals, this guy Greenberg just crunches the numbers to make it better for us as an organization.  While he may get a little bit of "input" I doubt its anything more than this:Dom: Hey Greeny....I want to trade for Revis and give him the $16 mil a year he wants.Greenberg:  Dom, youre a f**king moron to want to pay a corner that much.Dom: Come on bro, its the only thing our team is missing from being elite, trust me.Greenberg: The only way that would work is if we can cut him at any given time, we have to resign some of our young guys soon.Dom:  Can you call Revis' agent for me?  Its almost 4 and I have a tee time.

I would not worry one bit about the capologist. The Glazers have the formula. It's probably their own formula and they can hire anyone to push that pencil. Non issue.
