Last year Evans was ranked 27th... He's going into his 10th season, and is 30 years old. Are we expecting him to be better with a QB that isn't Tom Brady?
This is a whole new offensive system.. so we'll see how Godwin and Gage do in it.
This is what I think our top needs are...
#1 ILB (David may be gone and White is not what he thinks he is)
#2 DT/DE (Logan Hall was awful... we have no one else other than Vea).
#3 SS (we ONLY have Winfield)
#4 OLB (Barrett and JTS leave much to be desired and Barrett is getting up in age and coming off major injury.
#5 CB (We have no quality depth behind Dean and Davis)
#6 T (We don't have a backup to Goedke and Wirfs for Tackle)
#7 RB (White and Vaughn are all we have)
You can add TE and WR as needs but I think that is further down on your list. Behind Evans, Godwin, and Gage you have Geiger and Thompkins. Both Geiger and Thompkins lack size to be consistently boundary WRs so I anticipate the Bucs drafting a WR with size to train and develop. Tight end is a need because behind Otton and Kieft the Bucs do not have much.

I love all the haters on Evans... keep writing him off.
Next year he will still have
1200 yards
70 catches
6-10 tds
All while being shadowed by the top corner

Who “hated” on Evans in this thread when you posted? Are you referring to me saying
“Last year Evans was ranked 27th... He's going into his 10th season, and is 30 years old. Are we expecting him to be better with a QB that isn't Tom Brady?”
Mine was the only comment in this thread that mentioned Evans at all. Everything else prior to your comment was about the offensive line, Succop and Brady.
How is my comment “hating”?
You thinking Evans is going to muster 1,200 yards at 17+ yards a catch and double digit touchdowns is quite a leap though…
Hes averaged 17 yards a catch twice, double digit TDs 4/9 times, and 1,200+ yard seasons 6/9 times.
