6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C.State
Robert Ayers is just a temporary solution for the Buccaneers at defensive end. They'll need a long-term starter across from Noah Spence to help put pressure on Cam Newton, Matt Ryan and Drew Brees. And speaking of Spence, I don't know how much longer Tampa can wait on him to remain healthy. When will his shoulder issues go away?
Bradley Chubb has been steadily moving up my mock drafts. At 6-4, 275, Chubb has a great blend of size and speed, and he's been dominant this season.
37. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
The Buccaneers are taking a chance on Doug Martin reverting back to 2015 form. We'll see if that happens. If not, they'll be looking for a running back early in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Would love the first round pick, second i wouldnt dislike, I think a dynamic RB like Chubb could transform this offense, but would still prefer a LT, CB or DL round 2.
side note: vh3 and ryan smith both played well sunday, who knows maybe they will be the bucs 2 starting corners longterm, i was surprised how well(like all of you I can assume) how well they both held their own, especially without grimes & mcclain. One game obviously, but was very nice to see.
also heres a CBS first round one: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-giants-draft-ucla-josh-rosen-as-eli-mannings-replacement/
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Derwin James, S, Florida State. Jordan(they mean Justin lol) Evans, a 2017 draftee, has a promising future at safety but James is an enforcer at the second level as a quasi-linebacker, and he isn't lost in coverage. James is similar athletically to Jalen Ramsey. He just needs more refinement as a defensive back, and Tampa Bay's secondary needs work.
