Bob Stoops - C - Free AgentNFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is "open" to making the leap to the NFL.Ensconced at Oklahoma since 1999, Stoops has resisted countless overtures to bolt Norman, Ok., but has seemingly plateaued at OU. He might finally be ready to make a change. It's also possible Stoops has been emboldened to make a move by the NFL success of former college coaches Chip Kelly, Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll. Stoops has compiled a 159-39 record in 15 seasons at Oklahoma, and favors a pass-happy offense.Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter Dec 30 - 1:45 PM
Ought to make some waves
He'd be a great coach for another team. No college coaches for the Buc's!
No thanks.Unless they bring someone with heavy NFL experience to replace Schiano, this move is the flop of the decade.
No no no no no no no no no
I am a HUGE OU fan and I don't want Bob anywhere near Tampa. ZERO NFL experience...ain't nobody got time for that...
I'll pass. I want someone with NFL experience.
Me slightly being an OU fan....nope.
Ew
I'd take him as an assistant coach though. Let him get NFL experience then work up to ladder and eventually become HC................somewhere.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if the Glazers went for a college coach again, they usually swing the pendulum all the way to the other side. Former NFL HC or coordinator
Only college coach I'd accept is Shaw.Don't think the Glazers are going back to that well
Not just no.BUTHELL NO!!! :o
I don't care if it's a college coach they bring in, just so long as it's legitimate.Meaning, ...are they actually a worthwhile coach with winning records and multiple titles. A proven track record would at least be nice.No more db coaches or unsuccessful college coaches.

Nope. This is a situation where you bring an experienced NFL Head coach, or bust.

Even the best college coach in history has a higher chance at being a flop then hiring an NFL assistant coach. NO COLLEGE GAMBLES! They don't work out normally and rolling the dice has crapped out twice now.
