PewterReport.com has learned that Bucs' offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan will interview for the vacant head coaching position at Army on Friday in Tampa. The Bucs are currently last in the NFL in total offense after setting several franchise records in 2012. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=9502:&Itemid=15

Yup.McNulty will more than likely be the replacement.

Yup. Who wants to bet that his offense looks way different at Army than it did here once the "Schiano factor" is removed from it.
I think we are all assuming McNulty gets the job, and even if so, that the offense will be the same. McNulty, if he gets the job may have a more aggressive approach and may help Glennon or whoever it may be grasp the details of the offense better. And I am sure he will put his personal touches on it. It won't be the exact playbook. Philosophy most likely stays the same, but that is ok IMO. Ninth in the NFL last season is a heck of an offense. Imagine the Bucs defense this year, with last season's offense.I personally don't think the basics and concept of the offense is terrible. Certainly worked last season very well. But tough to succeed with rookie QB, fourth string RB and also missing your starting LG, TE and No. 2 receiver.

+1
good luck
No question we are "down" some explosive offensive weapons, compared to last season. Not mentioned is; I believe the number of "very good defensive teams" we've faced THIS year is far greater than last. Still, I am dissapointed Sullivan/Schiano have chosen to put Glennon in the hands of our less-than-average pass blocking O'line's hands, rather than get the ball out quicker by using more spread formations. That better utilizes his QB IQ in reading defenses and actually sustaining drives. As it is, if our run game struggles, our offense very quickly returns the football to the opponents offense. We were out-possessed by the 49ers nearly 40 minute to 20.That's completely opposite what our game plan was; VERY BAD. I fully understand we need to run the football, BUT, we have a QB who can complete short passes all day, as he's demonstrated when given the opportunity. Mixing that skill with our run game would certainly enhance our run game productivity. It's gotten very obvious opponents don't fear our long-range slow-developing pass game...
