Both teams have amazing offenses and future Hall Of Fame QBs. But defense wins championships and it was the defenses that stepped up and got the job done yesterday. Atlanta's defense was facing another future Hall of Fame QB, and either stopped him cold in the first half or created turnovers. The fumble by Riskowski near the end zone was the turning point as what would've been 10-7 instead turned into 17-0. New England's defense shut down Pittsburgh's triple B attack. Held them to only one touchdown each half.
Again, defense wins championships. Bill Belichick and Dan Quinn (both defensive masterminds) know that all too well, which is why their two teams are the ones that are still playing at this point in the season.
