I work with a couple and the wife works security for the Super Bowl each season. He spoke with her this morning and told us that she said the NFL is yay close to moving the game up to Saturda as another system is supposed to come through the area Sunday am. Guess I never thought Id see a Super Bowl Saturday, now if this happens I will have no excuse to cal in next Monday :( Just what I heard and have no official word as of yet.l
Honestly I would prefer the SB to be on saturday in general. Going into work on Monday after partying all night sucks.
Me like SuperBowl. Me like Beer. Me no like work hangover. SuperBowl Saturday good.
The economic impact would be major. I can't see it happening unless it's a blizzard.
What do you see as the main economic impact of moving it up? If they dont and another system comes in wouldnt grounded flights make for an economic boom for the hotel people? Just curious to your reply. Teach me!

The average stay for a SB is 3.3 days so people pay for four days and stay for three. A delay for weather would make most people use their already paid for plans they were going to give up. No extra revenue for a weather delay unless it was a monster storm and that's not happening this weekend so it's a moot point.
The weather forecast changes daily. Right now there's only a 10% chance of rain and a high in the upper 30s and a low in the mid 20s. I highly doubt they'd move anything with a forecast like that. I think it would have to be a major snow event in order for them to move the game.
The predictions are all over the place. New England weather is only mildly accurate in the 48 hour window.
