...seems to be a difficult job. Everyone agrees who the top four are, but there is no agreement on what order to rank those four. Even Ledyard is confused, because he has Wills "clearcut" #1 rated OT in his OT article, but then in his mock draft somehow Wills falls to the Bucs at 14.
As for the Bucs, they don't need to worry so much about who they like. They need to worry about who the other teams don't like, because of those top four, the Bucs maybe be looking at the one nobody else chose by the time the 14th pick rolls around.
Wills: Ledyard has Wills going to the Bucs in the mock draft, yet he is the highest rated of the four in some mock drafts.
Thomas: has been highest rated for much of this draft season so far, but questions about his footwork and so forth have him dropping a bit, sometimes even past 14th. Ledyard has him going 18th. Is Thomas a fit for the Bucs if he's going to struggle in the pass blocking?
Wirfs: Of the mocks that have an OT going to the Bucs, most have been putting Wirfs into the Bucs slot. But he seems to be moving up the ranks and into the top ten, Ledyard has him going 4th now.
Becton: He went from being talked about as a sleeper pick but by now nobody is sleeping on him and many have him in the top ten.
So there really doesn't seem to be any consensus, not even between Ledyard and himself. And it doesn't matter to Bucs fans how we rank them, only whether we will be happy with the leftovers.
The question is which guy would you NOT draft at 14?
