Like I said, total TDs is just one of many factors and not a very important one....but it does make you wonder. Also, everyone keeps using Vernon Davis as an example even though he is the exception to the rule. He was one of like 5 TEs taken in the top 10....ever. And to be completely honest, he hasn't been as good as some make him out to be. He's had 3 really great years out of 8....but compared to the cream of the crop like Gonzalez and Graham, he just isn't that good. Not a very good argument for taking a TE so early, or taking a TE with less than 10 TDs in his college career for that matter.

Yep.

The main reason I posted Vernon Davis college stats was to shoot down the argument that stats matter when evaluating a prospect. That is the last response I expected from you. It's all about a player's ability to play in the NFL. Stats don't tell you that. Vernon Davis is one of the best TEs in football. If he was used how NO uses Graham his stats would be equally ridiculous. 52 catches for 850 yards and 13 TDs isn't good? 16.3 yards per reception? You should know something isn't right if Delores is agreeing with you. ;D
3 very good seasons and 5 seasons that where meh. I think he is an overrated drama queen....but that is just my opinion. As far as the college TD stats, for a TE I do think it's kind of important. I want a big ass TE that has shown he can be money in the redzone.
Then ASJ is your guy
Then ASJ is your guy
Yep. Not just in the end zone/red zone, but anywhere on the field. He has shown the ability to box out a defender, go up to the highest point, and take any ball that is in his general area. That is what I want in a TE. To each his own....but that is what I look for.
Guy is very good blocker as well
