I read PR's article about Grimes yapping his gums and there was a very interesting comment from him. And I think it goes to show just how this team has had a defeatist attitude for several years.
When asked why he signed back with the Bucs he said:
“Not so much the losses, but the team was fun. They had good people and it made it fun. We were 5-11, but people were having fun and we just realized that we were going to be in some f***** up situations but let’s just have fun with it. And we lost, but we played on defense. We played some good ball sometimes, all things considered.”
WTF? Losing should NEVER be fun. 5-11 isn't fun, it's embarrassing.
And this is not just Grimes. It was suggested before with no corroboration how this team accepted losing way too easy. Now we have it. We need to do more than just add some more talent. We need to get rid of some losers. Grimes, you are first. Bye.
