lets face it, this season is screwed with lovie at the helm. hes holding us back and enabling bad defense and poor penaltiesI hope we blow the staff up and hold onto Koetter and Bajakian, everyone else can pretty much kick rocks. K and B have held together the offense and are developing Winston as he is progressing with each gamethat said we have serious issues and have holes that need to be addressed and filled in some way shape or form in FA and through the draftthe biggest two issues I see (beyond the coaching) are DE and DB. Jaquies Smith is a solid player and Jones has done good things but we need a true alpha passrusher across from them. Johnson is a ghost and Gholston is an idiot penalty waiting to happenas much as I want us to land a CB in the 1st DE might be where we look. Joey Bosa is a bit overrated judging by his play this season but a guy nobody really talks about is Emmanuel Ogbah from OK State. dude can play the run and pass very well and is quietly having a nice season. hes going to be available in the teens of this draft although the Combine and workouts might push him up. If we don't go DE then we have to get a DB, preferably a Corner but a Safety if we're in position as well. Vernon Hargreaves from UF is my #1 CB pick. VH is a lockdown corner like Joe Haden and will erase a WR.if hes gone and we decide to go Free Safety we need to look at Jalen Ramsey from FSU. hes a natural center fielder and will come up and lay the wood. either of these two will shore up the back end of our defense. if we want to wait a bit later to address safety we can look at Keanu Neal from UF, Vonn Bell from OSU, and Jeremy Cash from Duke. all three will be 2nd-3rd round guys. I like Desmond King from Iowa and Zack Sanchez from Oklahoma as mid round corners. Sanchez bears watching though as he was injured Saturday and its probably a kneewe also need to look for a replacement for VJax. hes been a great leader and player but hes about done and his cap number is really high. Murphy is likely done as well and we have to hope Kenny Bell can step in next year. Guys I like in the 2-4 range are Rashard Higgins from CSU, Josh Doctson from TCU, Corey Coleman from Baylor, Corey Davis from CMU, and Travin Durral from LSUI don't know who is gonna come up in FA but weve got plenty of areas to address. id like to see us pick up another interior OLobviously a new coach is need number 1 but we have several areas to fix. luckily weve got building blocks in place but its time to fill things out
