Decent pickup. Basically, TB's version of Chad Henne/KC all those years, if I'm reading the FO right. solid backup QB that isn't going to do something stupid out of inexperience or trying to 'make a play' in an attempt to further his career. just make good decisions and don't turn the ball over, if it ever comes to that in a live game.

I wouldn’t argue that Trask is still number two, still fits with the idea that we need another arm in camp.
It may get interesting if Bridgewater has any juice left - but Trask can fit a lot of what Coen did, possibly as much as we know about what Grizz plans to do.
A back up QB with actual NFL game/playoff experience makes this a good roster move.

Bridgewater knows some of the offense; Grizz was one of the coaches he worked with back in MIA, remember. And you might be right about Trask.
But I wouldn't be surprised at all if Teddy takes over the QB2 spot before too long, once he gets into game shape gets up to speed. How long that takes will be up to Teddy, but once he gets into shape, well, he's just a better QB than Trask is, plain and simple.

He's more ready to play than both Pratt and Bazelak, which is why it was a good depth signing after two QB's went down with injuries.

Both things can be true. He can be a camp arm with a chance to make the team. With the new emergency third QB rule, the team probably will have a third QB on the roster. His odds of making it over Pratt and Bazelak are pretty good.

Teddy B was likely the best available candidate for any team in the Bucs position. Low-risk, maybe some upside, camp arm.
Mayfield didnt get the BucHarbour memo. He only started because he was more experienced than Trask. Trask really won. . . but for . . experience
