still think it may have been a great placement for the coverage and the room to work.
I only saw it once so will go look back. Great catch. Everyone agrees. I thought the throw was intentional though? I thought the DB jumped on top and even jumped thinking the high ball was coming?
It was a pretty good throw. it wasn't perfect, but it was literally Teddy's first NFL action in some time, and iirc he said he hadn't thrown to Egbuka at all prior to the game, so no chemistry.
yeah, it could've been a touch longer/deeper to the pylon, but that's really quibbling. It was on time and only a tiny bit short, based on where Egbuka actually secured it inbounds. I mean, we're talking about TB, a probable backup QB, not the next Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. As far as backup NFL QBs, it was an outstanding throw. Hell, there's plenty of starting QBs in the league right now that can't throw that corner route as well as Teddy did.
Yeah, in the interview after the game, Emeka actually said it was a good throw. He’s humble, and complimentary, but he also doesn’t throw around unwarranted praise. I wanted to see if Teddy B had anything left in the tank, after one game (albeit with two darn good scores), he looks to be a better fit. Especially for Grizz. Unless he shows something in the final preseason game, Kyle may be relegated to the PS.
Would have liked to have seen Michael Pratt show something, as I think he could have been a better QB3 in this offense. However, if you can’t get on the field, it’s hard to get evaluated. Don’t think he will make the cut.
I re-watched both of Teddy B’s scoring throws to Bucky, and to Emeka, the one to Bucky was great placement (especially considering when Teddy actually released the ball). After seeing it a few times, I still think the one to Emeka had pretty good placement - as you say - considering the coverage/space.still think it may have been a great placement for the coverage and the room to work.

Im sure he’s still knocking off rust regarding placement, will be interested to see what he does in tomorrow’s action.
So who is the #2 QB going to be?
I think it should be Teddy B, who I think is a better fit for us this season, but getting sick just before the game may have let Kyle make a case for it. Still don’t like Trask’s hesitancy.
Trask hasn't looked great. But idk..
I’m leaning Teddy.
Raiders situation may make it interesting.
one of them goes on practice squad, which exposes them to be signed…So who is the #2 QB going to be?

It’s a question I asked last week, has anything changed in our estimation as to who other NFL teams might sign, first?
Also agree with DH - Raiders situation makes that question a little more telling.

No one is going to poach Trask if he ends up on the PS. Should be a pretty simple decision.

I wouldn't be surprised if Oakland did, considering their situation and Spytek's relationship with Trask.

let them then. if they had any brains they'd rather poach Teddy. Teddy's a lot closer to what they're looking for in a QB than Trask. heck, Teddy is basically Geno without as much arm talent.
I'd rather keep Trask since he knows the system. But I'm also not going to pretend to be an expert on backup QBs
Yes, it would be a pretty good test. If Kyle had that kind of value, he could have been traded before the last game - with the exception of the Raiduhs, as that happened just after the last pre-season game.one of them goes on practice squad, which exposes them to be signed…So who is the #2 QB going to be?

If anyone were to want Kyle, they’d likely wait to just claim him.
Im pretty sure Bowles/Grizz wanted to put Teddy B in and evaluate him. Sickness kinda limits them to knowing what they have in Kyle (and if that’s good enough), and whether they think Teddy B is the right pick.
I too am leaning Teddy B, have been since the first TD last week.

To be fair, I don't think there is such a thing, so you're safe.
