Good thing we lost all those games to ensure us one of the top QB's huh.  http://fansided.com/2013/12/13/teddy-bridgewater-considering-return-louisville-possibility-according-one-report/

Wow, screws the top if the draft for a team like HOU who might not be all that interested in Clowney...or would they have the nerve to draft Carr's brother.

...and this is bad news for us. At 9 or so we want as many top prospects in the draft. Anything that thins the top makes our lives that much harder.

I doubt it, but I guess anything is possible. If he did that, he may not even be the 1st QB drafted next year. Mariota could overtake him.His Mom slipped up a few weeks ago, and said    "Next year when we are in the NFL"So I think its a done deal

I don't think draft position matters as much so being 1 or 10 isn't that big a deal.  Heck, a number of people made the point that the earlier you come out the sooner you to get to contract 2 which is where the money is now.  For a guy like Bridgewater I don't see where going back would make him a better prospect.

Would be unbelievably dumb.  If he stays, at the very least Winston will be ranked ahead of him at the beginning of the year.  I think he might consider it, and then realize how absurd it would be to stay.

This would basically make nexts years draft the super QB draft that this year was suppose to be...But, I would be stunned if he stays...I mean, why stay? You have almost zero chance of winning a NC...

For a guy like Bridgewater I don't see where going back would make him a better prospect.

And I just can't see Louisville contended for a national championship next year.  I suppose there's the whole academics thing, but if someone *really* wants to finish their degree, there's no inherent reason pros *can't* take college classes on the side.  It just seems like it would be a really dumb decision to me.

I believe Teddy graduates after this semester.

Actually, there is a good financial reason for Teddy to stay in college.  Maybe not on draft day itself, where, like was said above, the money is no longer there but on contract #2.  The difference between the 1st overall and the 10th overall is no longer as drastic as it use to be.  But as a QB, would you rather be drafted by Denver or Cleveland?  Manning doesn't have much left, it would be a good thing to tutor under him for a year and the team and staff is capable of winning.  In Cleveland you would get thrown to the wolves and be in a much less favorable situation.  The odds that Bridgewater or any other QB excels in Denver or a similar place, is much greater than in Cleveland, Minnesota or even Jax.  Almost any other position can still earn a mega 2nd contract even on a crappy team, but if a QB gets stuck on one, unless they are just god like, they can just forget it.  So in Bridgewaters case, maybe he is looking at Mariota, Winston and other QB's in next years draft and thinking in the long run, its more financially sound to be the 10th or 12th pick vice the 1st or 2nd.

i wonder if not being included in the final 6 for the Heisman might have made him feel slighted. Thinking to himself that he will return next year to prove them wrong, which would be silly i think. Though i have wondered how a QB who is the conscientious #1 pick in the draft is not even mentioned when it comes to the Heisman. Deserving or not, the hype machine alone usually gets him to NYC at least.

On the other hand, Houston's actually potentially a pretty nice landing spot for a rookie QB.
