Last year it was obvious to anyone that benching Goldshon and Barron would lead to a better defense overall.  This year we can see what is obvious to turn this ship around.1.  When Dotson comes back? He is your new starting LT.  Donovan Smith flips to the right side and compete with Pamphille there.  Cherilus is a stop gap but it is possible that Fragel may end up a better option.  I don't like the idea of musical chairs on the o-line but it is clear that Smith is better suited as a RT or kicking on the inside.  I think Smith has pro bowl potential as a guard ala Robert Gallery.  Also, Dotson is the best bet to protect Winston's blindside.2.  Wright doesn't belong on the field as a starter.  Swearinger is a better "strong safety".  Honestly? I would rather see Tandy become the "free safety" and McDougald shift to "Strong safety".  Swearinger or Tandy in the lineup would be an upgrade.  Conte/Wright are reserve players and let them be special teams aces.3. I would not mess with the interior of the OL.  Marpet -EDS- Mankins are actually going to be fine.  Tackle situation is in flux due to injury and inexperience.4. Adam Humphries has to be a bigger part of the game plan.  Koetter has to utilize him more.5. Doug Martin looks NFL average for a change.  Feed him the ball more.  Let Winston utilize play action to full effect.6. Use Sims as a gadget player.  He is not a grinder and his speed should be used in space.7. Bucs CB's should play more bump and run.  They simply don't have the speed needed to play soft coverage.8. ASJ is Rickey Dudley II.  Keep feeding him the ball but avoid using him in run blocking situations.  9. Nickel CB blitzes need to become a staple of this defense once more.10. I want to see Koetter call up a lot more draws, counters, and delayed hand offs.
