I'm seeing him falling in drafts. I'm not sure I believe it...

Kiper (who is a clown) has him as the 4th best WR. Insane to me. He's the clear cut #1.

If he does in fact fall...we have to take him or even trade up as much as #15.

Yeah we'd have an embarrassment of riches at wr and would ignore other key needs... But I view him has Mike Evans.

Just think about it: Vincent Jackson then Mike Evans then Tetairoa McMillan?

Amazing.

I'm sprinting to the podium to take him.

NFL.com had a rating of 6.7 for Evans, 6.2 for Godwin, 5.97 for Jalen McMillan and 6.4 for Tetairoa McMillan.

Part of what makes this draft interesting  Bucs could do so many things with that first pick.

He's a good player but that would mean 4 starting caliber WRs with holes in the secondary. Leave it to you to want to trade up for a #4 WR while Bowles has gym teachers and FedEx drivers in the secondary and then you'll complain about him.

Well it's nice of you to ignore that I literally addressed that counter intuitive notion and yes it is clearly unorthodox.

But long term, it's the best move. He is going to be a star. Period. I'd rather have a guaranteed star at WR than a solid starter on defense.

We can address LB in round 2. We can address CB in FA.

Grab a DT late.

He's no Benn or Stovall tho, I'll give you that.

What did they have DK Metcalf rated that made him fall to the 60th some odd pick?

If you watch McMillan you'll see a super star with elite size and length. He's Mike Evans v2.0 who was Vincent Jackson v.2.0.

I totally understand why fans want Defense. I do too... If he's not there then def go defense, but he's a star.

I'm not even critiqueing Tet and didn't like Benn at any point, so you can shut up about that. A flaw in your current argument is that Tet is a star (which he could be) but the other defensive options are just "solid". That's guaranteed to be wrong. There will 100% be a defensive player available at 19 that will be a great player. 100%. Could be Mike Green, could be Starks, could be Barron, could be Scourton, could be someone nobody is talking about. But he'll be there.

I'm not against Tet or Banks, Booker, Warren at 19 but I'm also not on here blaming the defense for everything. You can't complain about the defense to the point you want the head coach fired and then suggest moving up for a #4 WR and giving him scraps to work with while the offense is already loaded. It's your distorted view of Bowles and the defense that makes you a hypocrit.

Depending on who’s left on the board, I wouldn’t be mad taking him.

No scenario where I’d trade up for him though .

Tet may fall but we will see if Licht did his homework. People have questioned if he loves football enough because he doesn't really study tape but that is more of an immaturity issue because a young player thinks they are invincible and elite going up against scrubs.  Licht has said he can handle a player like that once they join this locker room.

But on tape Tet is a gamer and he plays faster for a big man.   I would be 100% okay with Tet as a Buc because it may be a roll of the dice but the upside is huge if he pans out.

Five out of the last seven Buccaneer first picks have been defensive players. The only two of those five that are/were plus-players are interior DL. How many first picks does the HC/DC need to not be the weak-link on the team?

FTR, I'm not in favor of trading up for Tet either. If he falls, great. But trading up would be a non-starter for me.

Trading up is the extreme but it's 4 spots at most than I'm willing to move. Not sure what this is on the trade calculator? A third?

If he's there at 19 you have to take him. If here's there at 15 you have to consider finding a way to grab him.

But as I said, I totally understand the reluctancy to go offense and/or trade up.

And I do think Greene *could* be a star... But as we all know the draft is about odds because nothing is guaranteed.

My money on "who becomes a star" with the players we draft at 19... The odds of Tet vs any of the defnese players we are considering... It isn't close. And for good reason as he's projected to be taken higher.

I keep seeing him drop in draft rankings but I'm also not buying it. So much politiking.

Jets should take him but time will tell.

Just market me down officially as "he's a star" and I'll fall on that sword if he isn't.

Hall is a plus player, so it's actually 3. But those guys shuffle in and out like hockey players. But to answer your question, when Licht drafts an edge that can get more than a handful of sacks. And I'm not saying the first pick has to be defense. Just pointing of the hypocricy of the guy crucifying the defense wants to use a 1st and 3rd on a #4 WR.

In 22 and 23 the defense was better than offense, so let's not act like Bowles has been dragging this team down. Actually the 24 defense was better than the 22 and 23 offenses.

Yeah you're on a crusade of stupidity, that's for sure.

The extreme example is trading up 4 spots.

The POINT is if he's there's at 19 you take him without even batting an eye.

Tet will have a better career than any of the defensive players available at 19... Odds-wise.

But we get it you love Bowles. He was such a genius last year. If he can just play Rattler and DeVito all year we're gonna be elite defensively.

Will the Bucs draft a WR McMillan two drafts in a row? Not likely. Tet will be gone at 19.
