are there any other offensive players beside Tet where you take them at 19 if they fall to us? or, just Tet?
I have a top 10 grade on Banks. Would immediately start at LG and the backup swing tackle. Warren if he's there but Licht might have Howard PTSD. Bucs are hot on Golden also.
Agree, to me though, Tet is to Mike - like Egbuka is to Godwin.Personally though, I could only justify the Bucs taking a burner at #19.
I’d prefer the player who checks all the boxes.
Tet’s that guy.
He's going to be a star so long as he isn't a diva.
Like everyone else I think we know we need defense but long term we need star power.
Tet being a star is far more likely than the ends we have a chance at with pick 19.
Tet will be long gone tho...
Its wild.
But getting Luther Burden III, later, could be just as nice.
They are WR U so I think he'll be good.

I don't have an issue with Banks but use your own "we need defense" argument here... We already have our guards just like we already have our WRs.

We have one guard. And the running game can be used to play defense. Other team can't score when they dont have the ball.

Interesting in terms of the way some view BPA versus need. The BPA absolutist would say you have to take the G, I guess?
It would be interesting to see how many teams play to an absolutist BPA strategy.
My guess is, not many.

bredeson and mauch?
we didn’t give Ben 3 years 22 mil 10 guaranteed to sit on the bench.

We have two guards. We are set. I'm not opposed to drafting another guard but paying Breadson that much to ride the pine would be silly.
Our line is already elite and it's very young.
Wr we are not young

I'm as close to it as it gets. Drafting for need is for teams in the top 5.
We're top 10.
If it is purely based on BAP then Zabel and the WRs enter the conversation. But I think if it is a tie then the Bucs go defense with Ezeiruaku.
Baldinger has Golden rated higher over Tet but lets say there is a run on offensive skill players in round 1. Tet might fall if Warren, Hunter, Golden, Egbuke and Loveland are all drafted before him. And Banks, Campbell and Mebou should in theory go in the top 15 too which increases the chance of a Tet free fall.

Bredeson is a giant oaf who can't get to the second level and has Baker running out of the pocket despite Wirfs and Goedeke having the edges locked down. And his deal is really only 2 years, $15M.

It's still substantial enough to warrant a year with him being the weakest link on a strong line

I'm all for it because Tet is better than all of those players sans Hunter

Every draft seems to feature a WR that falls because it is a numbers game. Teams don't want to be bag holders taking the 4th, 5th, or 6th best WR in round 1. That really becomes a dice roll.
But the Seahawks caught JSN at 20 in 2023. And in 2024 the Jags landed B. Thomas at 24.
So Tet to the Bucs at 19 would be a huge coup for Licht.
Yeah, I’m not there on Tet. He’s interesting, but when does he get on the field? If Mike & Chris are back, he does spot duty, for at least a year. I don’t think we’re to the point where we can pick & stash a first round WR - unless Golden somehow falls.
Too many other needs - and analysts seem to be all over the board on Tet.
