As much as they need a QB no QB in this draft comes close to being the talent that Clowney is. Not even close. And this is a deep QB draft. They could have Clowney and get a QB later. Plus as I said I don't think Matt Schaub is broken like most fans think. He had a bad year but I think it was more of a fluke. Foster being hurt was big for them as well. QB was not the reason for their failures in 2013.

He sounds genuine to me. Clowney and Cousins would be a nice first 2 picks for them.

They said the same B.S about Julius Peppers. So what? DTN and Adrian Clayborn(supposedly) don't take plays off and aren't lazy. Neither of them will come close to impacting a game like Clowney can....I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Having played football up to a collegiate level, I can tell you that no player. NO PLAYER plays 100% on every snap. No player. It's a myth to describe the "effort" guys. Guys like Clowney and Peppers who are super talented have eyes on them on every snap. So people pay more close attention to everything they do. People don't watch the "effort" guys as much. When they make a play, it's like "oh wow. Can't believe he did that. He really does try hard!" If Clowney doesn't make a play it's "he's not trying. He's lazy". The only lazy thing is that label. No matter how great he might be he's not going to make every play. He's not going to go all out every play. He's human. But he will more often than not make his impact known.
