So first of all let me say I still think Carolina wins 12 games this year at least. They are truly a bully on both sides of the ball, and are pretty fun to watch imo. They are able to be beat however.
From what I saw, thier corners are going to get exposed this season by teams who have great WRs. Mike looks like he is going to take a next step this year, and VJ still has some gas left, along with some veteran tricks. I think these guys can take advantage. Also if you stick with the run, you can break some pretty big plays against them. CJ had a heeck of a game against them. Doug can have the same.
Carolina wears teams down. They punch you in the mouth for 5-6 yards at a time and eat clock. They take timely shots on defense, but they lack explosion in the passing game, outside of Ted Ginn. Kelvin is a stud, but lacks explosive separation. His game is predicated on simply being big as hell. And it works haha. It's going to be interesting to see how VHIII matches up with him. Technique still trumps size, and it's possible to VHIII to cover him well. Revis has identical size and takes away half the field.
I still don't think we have the talent to beat them, but I do hope to see us play them a bit closer this year.
