By Cummings TBO: http://tbo.com/sports/bucs/bucs-beat-nothing-predictable-about-this-season-20140907/ I think Cummings does a good job of covering my feelings about the 2014 Bucs. I'm very upbeat about the season, but I have my doubts about whether this team is good enough to get past a .500 record. As for his 5 reasons to be optimistic, I'm in agreement, as far as his 5 reason's to worry? Here are my comments FWIW.1. Overall, this is a big concern, but less so because of the Mankins trade. It helps that ALL the South teams are fighting issues along their offensive lines so we are not alone in the south with this issue. I have no idea if this line will come together today or not, but if we want to compete and be a over .500 ball club, getting good play out of the offensive line is critical. Warhop was correct in stating early in the year, that the Bucs success this year depends upon how the offensive line holds up.2. After watching McCown in the pre-season, I'm actually less worried about him. I think he is good enough to get the Bucs over .500 if his offensive line plays well in front of him. However, if the offensive line doesn't play well, it really won't matter if it's McCown or Glennon behind it. So #2, depends on #1 IMO.3. I think Micheal Johnson is a better defensive end than some fans believe, but I'm concerned that he won't be that Simeon Rice guy that we need. He looks to be a better version of Spires to me, at least in pre-season. Right now, he looks like someone that plays the run well and can chip in 7-8 sacks. I hope I'm wrong, but I also think that the defense can still be good without elite production from him.4. Tedford is the least of my worries. Really.5. Murray is more of a concern at this point rather than a worry. I hate that we let go Barth who is a proven kicker under pressure for a rookie kicker, but I like the fact that the rookie underdog beat out the incumbent.  I honestly hope that today's game doesn't come down to him making the kick for the victory.
