Y'all are very, very quick to make the 'cut' decision.  Which rarely happens, especially with established, not quite over the hill lineman.Restructures WILL happen for those guys and most likely our kicker types.

Many of us complained about Trueblood for years and when he finally got replaced, the next guy (an undrafted free agent) was much better. Replacing sucky players isn't hard.

All true.  My point is that these things aren't the 'norm'.

Cuts happen all the time.  How is it not the norm?

Careful with the fat comments, stench will accuse you of being classless.

I guess we'll see, but the rule has always been you better have that guys replacement on the roster before you cut them.

We we have Free Agency and the draft before the June 1st cut....it's not like we'll be gambling. We should know exactly what we were able to do in the offseason before cutting the fat from this roster.

Once the new league year starts players can be cut at anytime and designated a "June 1" cut, teams do not see the cap savings til After June 1st.  This was part of the new CBA to help vets getting released to find another job while more teams are still looking.

So tired of conflicting reports. I heard $17M and $20M for months.....now it's $10M? That sucks. We don't even have an expensive franchise QB and we have holes all over the roster.....and yet we are almost maxed out? No wonder Dom was fired. Mike Will only makes $1.8M this season....what happens in 2015 when his cap hit jumps up to $8M? We gotta resign David and Martin soon....smh. This roster does need blown up and rebuild. No way we should be this close to the cap limit.

Can't re do David until after 2015 and Bucs have 5th year option (2016) on Martin per the 20111 CBA

I understand that Mark, but it just seems like a bad situation to have so little cap room when we don't have a franchise QB, and the few studs we do have are on small rookie contracts. Our talent level is nowhere near where it should be for a team so close to the cap. The fact that we have like $22M tied up in an interior O-line that stinks, doesn't help.

I would cut joseph and koenan. They both suck and are both the highest paid but ranked among the worst at the position. Penn I doubt takes a paycut. I've come to the realization that next year were likely to have the same team sans some drafted rookies and one or two solid fa pickups. I don't expect to much movement.
