With the explosion of social media and the absolute ease of creating a fancy looking blog or website - there has been an explosion of so-called NFL experts who all claim to have sources throughout the NFL and will literally write anything. The problem is...there is absolutely not one shred of accountability for any of these people. Unless they work for a major publication that enforces journalistic standards on its reporters and demands some level of journalistic integrity - these amateur "journalists" can literally make sh#t up and claim it comes from "sources within the organization or the NFL". And who is going to call them on it??Sadly - because there is such a competition among the amateur hacks - that when they arent making their own stories up, they each will retweet the fake garbage of their fellow hacks. Folks, it is going to be a long 3-plus months ahead. But here is one thing I can say with certainty: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not going to tell a soul which players they like better - Winston or Mariota - and if any blog or wanna-be sports reporter claims that "their sources in the organization" tell them something it is absolutely 100 percent B.S. I bet even Lovie Smith and Jason Licht have no clue yet what they plan to do with that pick. And I'm sure if you asked them an opinion, they would say the truth - both players are outstanding and the team is continuing to evaluate both. So when Joe Blow of "Pewter Puke Running Down The Plank Talking Sports Out Of Our Ass Scouting Blog" says that their sources say Lovie Smith is in love with Jameis Winston.... My recommendation is to take that virtual toilet paper and wipe your fanny with it. Cause that's all it is worth.
