I was totally down on him but he's really come a long way, both as a blocker and a receiver. T
op 10 TE now?
"seventh in total catches (57), seventh in yards (576) and fourth in completions of 20 yards more."
His critical 4th quarter reception yesterday was a thing of beauty. he should get the first down but then shakes off a tackle and gets 20-30 more.
He's ok. It's been 3 stops forward 2 steps back. He has the yips sometimes but overall nice jump this year
Yep above average young te very happy with him thus far.
hes no Brock bowers obviously but very rarely does a rookie become one of the best at his position like he is. Another that ascended that quickly recently that comes to mind is sauce Gardner.

Pretty much this. He's progressed nicely, there's not much doubt that he's been instrumental in several Ws this year. However, he also has 8 drops on the season, and some of those have also probably cost the team Ws or made earning Ws much more difficult after the fact. Here's to hoping he continues to improve in that area as well as in his overall game. If he does, he could legitimately be a top-15 or so TE in the league for years to come.

Fair assessment.
Consistently inconsistent moniker?
A lot of the development I have to say is probably Justin Peele the TE coach, he changed the mindset in that TE room, those guys Otton and Durham are blocking nonstop and finding a way to push a pile. Durham I am very encouraged this guy blasting mofos in the run game and has the athletic ability and fluidness to make contorting catches in the air, looks like Luke stocker blocking but has fluidity in the pass game, hes made a few of those athletic acrobatic catches i wouldnt expect out of a projected 5th round inline TE.
A wrinkle I wanna see is more 22 personnel pony and Otton(similar to how Pats used Gronk) outside go route for otton if its a LB on him, or we can shift into tight and run that rock. If we really think highly of otton we most likely will get a cover 1 look in the redzone for pony and go route otton vs a LB should be a matchup win for us. The safety will cheat to Mike
But yea Peele put a good case of dawg in that TE room to bury and grind the will out of defenders. Otton last year and early part was had a WR mentality blocking to becoming a TE. He became more all around, and tougher. Also catching better those games gave him confidence.
These next 4 weeks are all confidence builders that can really make this team believe we can become champs.

Sounds like my golf game. The thread name sounds like the name for a good book.

1. Rotate, Rotate, Rotate.
2. Feel like them hands are low and left at and through impact.
3. If you can’t do #1 and #2, then drop the cart attendant a $50 the first time you see her. She’ll keep you hydrated.

Good golly, I wish my knees would let me play golf again. I loved everything about it. Being outdoors and seeing fauna & flora, the feeling after hitting a smash down the middle of the fairway, the sound of the ball going in the cup, the beer girls, and the 19th hole. Sigh!
That's sad you can no longer play. I really enjoy golf. I started playing late, when I was 23. I'm a pretty steady 14 handicap, got down to a 10 for awhile in my early 40s. Playing pretty much for fun and camaraderie now that I'm almost 70. Still seeking that first ace. I have come close so many times, it's frustrating the damn ball didn't find the hole. Maybe someday. I play at Chi Chi's most every week, and Tarpon 1-2x/month.
Cade def improved his blocking.
Re: golf - I play 2x year for fun and I'm all over the place. 300 yard drive down the fairway. 5 put for par. And everywhere in between.
Thank God for beer

No better feeling than a perfectly flighted 2-iron off the tee.
