Obviously, there is a HUGE difference in expectations. Last year began with SB expectations and in part on a "great" offense with a GOAT. When that went south -- and particularly HOW it went south - of course there was a lot of APPROPRIATE volume against Leftwich. It was obvious he was a paper shuffler.
The expectation going into this year was "meh."Â Canales has outperformed that expectation for sure and with less, just based on the quarterback as one example.
Leftwich gets too much blame just like Canales gets too much credit (at this point). Canales has a better offense AND IS ALREADY A MUCH BETTER OC, but as much as anything else he changed one simple thing, which was to keep the offense TWO DIMENSIONAL.Â
A LITTL EASIER MAYBE because he works for Bowles and they both want that. Leftwich worked for Brady! lmao.Â
