I'm a fan of the Lovie hire but this has to be a concern. Sometimes coaches need someone to save them from themselves, especially when considering long-term strategy vs "win now".
Someone said that the Glazers offered it without being asked. I find that difficult to believe. It's my understanding that Lovie had players forced on him in Chicago in an effort to improve his abysmal offense. Guess that's no longer an option.
Maybe Glazers realized they aren't football minds, just own a football team.
Don't care about his swing and misses, every coach does that and I mean every coach. Even the great Bill Belicheck routinely takes gambles that don't pay off. Having a QB like Brady white washes a lot of those mistakes.

Definitely a concern. Hopefully Lovie is trying to bring on Ballard because he has a good enough relationship with him, Ballard can tell him when he's wrong.
