Fellow Buc fans I since the release of McCown yesterday my mind has been going back and forth on what I consider one of the biggest decisions in our franchise history.  The impact of the upcoming draft and the decision we make could effect this team for the next 5-10 years.  I don't know about you but I am sick of the mediocrity at best this team has put on the field.  Below I will give points and counter points to what I see a three options (Mariota, Winston, and Trading Back).Starting with Mariota, he has the stats and measurable's that will make any fan drool.  Along with those measurable's  he is a high character kid that I wouldn't worry about off the field.  Talking heads have stated that he came from a QB friendly system and didn't have to make the progressions of reads needed to be successful in the NFL.  While that is the case where their read option causes LB's and SS/FS to get caught looking in the backfield leaving his primary target open.  Often times Mariota will look off the safety as well leading to the same.  It's also said that his short to intermediate accuracy is great.  That to me is interesting in that if you look back no further than the Superbowl and the Pats.  They essentially took away Seattle's amazing pass rush by using quick hitting pass plays and getting the ball out to the play makers.  While Dirk Koetter has been on record saying he wants explosive plays down field we need to sustain drives to keep our D rested.  My biggest fear isn't i don't see Marcus being a vocal leader which is something we need on Offense. With Winston you get a big athletic QB  that comes from a pro style offense at Florida State.  He is a proven winner in college and has the arm strength to make every throw in the NFL receiving tree.  It's been well documented about his alleged off field indiscretions, however there are a few incidents that really bother me. First being when he was suspended for the Clemson game this year and elected to still dress out without the coaches knowing.  The second was jumping up on the table at the student union meeting with his famous outburst.  These two events tell me that he has zero respect for authority and feels like it's the Jameis Winston show.  Call it a kid being a kid, but do you really want that as the face of your franchise.  Beyond those things he makes some really great plays and is a vocal fiery leader.  He does make throws that make you say wow how could he do that, but there are times when he gets pressure and throws the ball up.The third option would be trading down and collecting a ransom from some team that falls in love with a QB.  We already know what we have in Glennon and while he hasn't exactly lit up the score boards he has proven he can be a winner in this league.  Last year we had far to many issues to make any QB look decent.  Think about it we had a replacement OC that had barely called any games in college and now we are asking him to go up against NFL DC's.  Our offensive line looked like a turnstile in Grand Central Station.  By trading down and collecting multiple picks we can address some of these holes and maybe find a late round QB that can be developed over time.  With a proven OC and hopefully revamped OL we could see an entirely different offense this year.  9-14 losses were by 10 points or less so if we could improve one extra touchdown a game we have an entirely different record.  In conclusion for this Buc fan I think we as a franchise might be best served to trade down collect some extra picks and build for the future.  I am not sold on either of these QB's as one might need some time to develop and the other I fear will be on an episode of Cop's Unloaded or worse.  There could be a scenario where on of the QB's fall to us after trading back and we take them then.  I know I will probably be blasted by both sides of the QB controversy, but I just don't see them as an immediate upgrade that can make us a playoff team.  Let's get back to the glory days and build a nasty defense and use the weapons we have currently on offense with the addition of a fast slot WR and a revamped OL.  What do you guys think?
