Certainly Sacks are important, but they don't seem to be the holy grail.Last year the Bucs tied for 21st with 36 sacks.Seattle was 20th with 37 sacks. (Super Bowl)NE tied for 13th with 40 sacks. (Super Bowl)Teams with high sack totals that didn't make the playoffs:St Louis tied for 13th with 40 sacks.Minn 9th with 41 sacks.Jack tied for 6th with 45 sacks.Jets tied for 6th with 45 sacks.KC 5th with 46 sacks.Giants 4th with 47 sacks.Phil 2nd with 49 sacksBuff 1st with 54 sacksMaybe poor teams concentrate too much on sacks and DL and not enough on overall defense.
